The property was outstanding inside and outside the lodge. As a nature lover I had a blast waking the 2.4 mile trail looking for deer and identifying track marks. There was also pleanty of sitting areas around the lodge with a fire where you can enjoy a drink. The wine tasting and cider did not disappoint! Only sad part is you cant purchase take home cider, but we did get a bottle of wine.

There was a dirty towel in our bathroom leftover from a previous guest. We ate at their restaurant and were accused of walking away without paying, but we hadn't moved at all. Kind of a strange thing to accuse us of simply because they couldn't see us from inside. Additionally, if you sit outside other patrons do sit outside and smoke so just be mindful you might inhale fumes while trying to enjoy a meal.

The lobby is beautiful and we enjoyed the grounds and the lounge. The sleeping room was lovely with a gorgeous view.

Dinner in the restaurant was focused almost entirely on red meat dishes. There was only one vegan dish and no vegetarian entrees at all. The salads were fine however the side dishes were sometimes odd. We have stayed at the Lodge several times in the past and noticed there were not even any pasta options this time. I'm not sure we will eat at the Lodge again although we may stay there.

It's one of my favorite places in Nebraska and just beautiful. The food at Timber's is delicious and our server was great! We were put in a 4th-floor room, which was terrific. Sitting by the fireplaces in rocking chairs was relaxing. The decor and environmental attention are lovely and progressive.

Our only complaints are that the top blankets on the bed are not washed between people. We could see this and smell this and saw the housekeeping staff who only had sheets for changing beds on their carts. The second complaint is how small children are allowed in the pool very late and in the hot tubs making a lot of noise, which echoes loudly. We didn't use the hot tub for this reason because it would not be relaxing. We had really looked forward to this. Perhaps there could be a "curfew" for young children in the area (they should be asleep anyway IMO) and maybe ONE hot tub could be for adults only.

The lodge was breathtaking! So grateful to have found this gorgeous property and truly looking forward to planning our next family vacation there. Although this visit was short, we enjoyed every minute of it!

Wished we had more time to stay. We were passing through on our trip across the country. I recommend allowing at least 3 days to take in all that they have to offer and allow the beauty and serenity of this place nourish your soul.

This place is massive and gorgeous. It's only a few minutes from downtown, but when you get out of your vehicle you smell nature. It's very relaxing and feels like you're in the middle of a forest a long way from a city. The rooms are nice and comfortable. We'll definitely be back in the fall when the leaves are changing colors

Bathroom is very small. We were on the 3rd floor, that is below banquet rooms. Not sure what was going on above or room, but it very loud

The menu prices were absurd, if you call the hotel, you get routed through 19 different ways to not get a hold of someone. Especially when you’re standing at the front door and the front lobby guy is sitting there, not answering the ringing phone in his ear and the restaurant doesn’t answer the phone for 20 minutes before they actually close.

Beautiful setting. Comfortable beds, awesome indoor pool, jacuzzi & kiddy pool, locker rooms & showers. Handicap lifts, elevators, walking trails and conservation areas. Fire-pits, restaurant etc.

Small rooms. Would be great if there was some way to install walk down stairs into pool in a corner with rails. Steps are inside wall of pool and older people or overweight people can't pull themselves out of water.

It felt like classic Americana. A lovely step back in time. The restaurant was nice and all the food had huge servings that were delicious.

The pool was a bit heavy on chlorine but much less so than a few other places we stayed. The sauna needed a bit more information regarding temperature. You also have to go into the bathroom to fill the bucket to ladle out the water for steam. It did get really hot though.

The room is beautiful and very quiet. The grounds are great for walking around to enjoy nature and the quiet the trails, trees, etc. Nebraska City has so much history so this is a great location

Please change your supply for the shampoo, conditioner etc. The bottles were impossible to squeeze the product out! Very frustrating! The only downside of my stay

The meals at Timbers were excellent even for the price.

The heat was turned on and didn't allow for changes to the temperature. It seemed the air conditioner came on in the morning when it was cool. Also wanted to buy wine in the restaurant as the Apple Market was out of Chambourcin. We bought one bottle in the gift shop at the price of $22. However, to buy the same kind in the restaurant, across the hall, it was $31 a bottle. We wanted it for a gift so bought it but thought that was unfair and a ridiculous reason was given.
