This was wonderful! The lobby was adorable, the staff was friendly, helpful and on point with giving us a disabled unit. Our room was lavish; high beds, soft mattresses, incredible linen and a real comforter. The television had good menu options and was easily maneuvered through. The kitchenette was super convenient with a separate sink, glass top stove, tall mini fridge, microwave and a coffee/tea maker with plenty of fixings. Their shower was outstanding with dual shower heads, including a handheld. Our unit had a permanent disability seat and small rubber lip to keep water from over flowing. The place was immaculate, and they clearly take pride in offering a cut above everyone else. I like the location because you're actually in the town, not right by the freeway.

Can't really think of any negatives here. Maybe more continental breakfast options. They have a waffle maker and cereal, I believe, and some Sarah Lee style pastries. Coffee was the best part.

This is the few times I have written an actual review of a hotel because I was so pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Drove to the location and first thing I saw was the train tracks across the street and wasn't sure I wanted to go in. But as in several reviews I read; the hotel rooms have been completely redone and are nice. Checkin was pleasant and efficient. Room is one of the few that actually had a table where you could sit and eat a meal at. The bed was comfortable. And this place was clean! The train doesn't run during the night so there was no disturbance there. If you're looking for a place to stay in this area I would highly recommend this one. The breakfast was nice. They had several choices including cereal, various pastries, english muffins, and waffles. Two kinds of juice and coffee and tea. All around a good experience.

Toilet was very low, like for a child. Little harder when you're older to get up.

My husband and I travel for business often, the first time we stayed here, we were pleasantly surprised how nice and clean the room was. The staff is very friendly and informative. Now we stop there and stay in the Big Chief Motel every time we travel to Battle Mountain.

There is only one complaint, in room 127, which we've stayed in twice, the power shuts off when you have the TV and microwave at the same time. I hope they fix the wiring before our next visit.

We stayed here for 1 night whilst on a 7 week touring holiday from Australia. A nice older, smaller, homely motel with a lovely friendly host. Lots of attention to detail here which we really appreciated. Our room was super clean. There was a BBQ on-sight which we spotted and then jumped at the chance to actually cook a decent home style meal on after living out of a suitcase for weeks. We went out and bought some pork steaks and veg and came back to cook on the BBQ. Soon the owner came over and gave us some proper plates, cutlery to use instead of our usual traveling plastic ware. A nice touch-we really enjoyed our dinner that night! We even did some washing during our stay - using the onsite guest laundry - $2.25 a wash and $2.25 to dry. The location was very quite, we were never disturbed by any traffic noise. The bed very comfortable for a restful nights sleep. Breakfast next morning was a good continental breakfast, with waffles too and they even supplied whole milk. A very pleasant stay here in Battle Mountain.

This hotel was first recommended by the towns visitors center as best for value and comfort in town. Personally met the owner, on the premises, ready to help. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good...Pancake machine!!! Updated rooms, comfortable beds. Liked it so much we stayed there again on our return trip across country. Quiet, friendly court area. The other guests were very friendly also... Happy staff happy guests!!!! FYI Be sure to call ahead for reservations...we reserved our room by 6pm...good thing because by the time we got there they were full.

The room was comfortable and had a real table and chairs and desk too. The motel was easy to find and access. For a continental breakfast, this was one of the better ones with more options - not a full breakfast, but good assortment of items.

I didn't realize a train track ran parallel to the street across the street from the motel, but I only heard the train a couple of times, and my husband didn't hear it at all. The tile floor in the bathroom was very cold to bare feet.

We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful everything was, from the lobby to the room itself. the room was larger than i thought it would be, and quite modern for the town its in. very nice staff also. we will be coming to this town every few months for business and we will hopefully always be welcome at this motel.

the microwave running would make the TV and fridge turn off and we kept having to fix that. but was a small problem.

We’ve traveled to Nevada on 2 previous times to small towns and both times the bed was always rock hard and uncomfortable. So to say we were pleasantly surprised with the big chief motel is a huge understatement!! Right when we walked into our room a blast of cold air greeted us (after traveling over 8 hours in 100 degree heat) was amazing!! It was very clean and sizable the bed was the best!! We immediately sat on the bed and were actually excited to be able to sleep on this bed!!

There were a couple times when the power went off but I’m sure that wasn’t the fault of anyone.

We travel from our home in Arizona to our daughter's place in Washington every summer. For the last several years we have stayed at your motel going each way. The rooms are clean , well equipped with a comfortable bed and close to a decent restaurant. This makes it an ideal for us. Please keep up the good work and we will see you on 5 Sept.

I have no dislikes about your motel

Excellent room. Very clean. Pet friendly: very accommodating to our two large dogs. Location was very convenient. Breakfast was basic but everything was fresh.

Booking.com details regarding extra charges for pets was outdated. Advertised rate was $10/pet whereas actual rate is $20/pet. Even though we were fine with the $20/pet, motel staff is give us a rate of $30 for the two dogs which was greatly appreciated.
