The price was very affordable and we were surprised that the room was spacious, Even the guest trashcans on each level showed somebody was paying attention to the fine details.

Would have liked a bigger gift shop. We weren't really told there were ice machines or the little extras like the doggie area, or the available barbeque grill on the premises. Also when we checked in it was difficult for them to find our reservation but I did come with a printed copy and things worked out fine.

The room is a good size with wood floors throughout. It is also pet friendly. If you have a lot of luggage, request a downstairs room because you can park right in front of your room. The second floor is only accessible by stairs. Other than the occasional train going through town or a noisy semi truck, it is quiet. The motel is located within walking distance of the main eatery, Side Track Restaurant. We ate there 3 times and each time was excellent. Also the queen bed was comfortable.

The Shady Motel what's the perfect location, and you could see the train go by every day which was a real treat. The side track restaurant was the best ever as far as food and friendliness! Plus it is very close to two state parks, and the surroundings are beautiful! Nice little town!

The only thing I didn't like was the pillows! They were too hard!

The motel was clean and kept up. The staff were super helpful and willing to accommodate our change of plans. We came to check out the trail systems and were able to mountain bike from the motel to trails. Unfortunately, the trails weren’t very beginner friendly and we were with our kids so we ran out of things to do and decided to leave a day early. we talked to them a couple days ahead of our check out and they were willing to refund us for the last day. I was very impressed with how kind everyone on staff was as well as everyone in town. It was such a unique place to ride and visit. We plan to come back and have full intentions of staying at this motel.

Everything was pretty good. We enjoyed our stay except we left our suitcase behind but retrieved it later. The office emailed us to let us know

Unfortunately the Wi-Fi in the most remote building didn't maintain a connection and we had to go back to outside the main office to get some work done. We think it was probably a secondary access point that was failing.

We arrived much later than anticipated because of a wreck on the freeway further south. The office was dark but the key was taped to the door with my name on it. Proved to me the location was safe. Important to us since we parked a trailer full of animals.

it was newer, clean, had micro and frig. Large room. Close to restaurants. Good for half way pint overnight.

Ice machine broken. On a busy street, train tracks across the street and train blows horn ALL night, frig noise, heater noise, early morning guest noises.

I didn't go down for breakfast, but the guys did, and they were happy. The train depot across the street really made the view. It is a quaint friendly little clean historic town-very impressed. Check in was quick-and she had a full motel that night so she was busy. Couldn't have been easier to find- Would certainly stay there again.

Really can't think of a thing.

The location was great. You were able to walk to various parts of town and restaurants. The room was very clean and and TV had plenty of channels to choose from. bed was comfy.

Did not like exposure of the sink area. Also, the trains come trough at night and blow their horns. The rooms are well insulated but for us light sleepers it can be a problem.

Traveling with a dog. There is a great city sidewalk trail right across the street. Grass. Well maintained.
