Per previous reviews, it IS on the main drag.. Pros: walking distance to many great museums, Starr Basque restaurant is a must go to, Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center is very nice with helpful, friendly staff; easy access to get back on the road. We didn't get her name, but she made some great coffee! Breakfast is very basic, and since the table and chairs are in the rooms, you fix your breakfast items and take them back to your rooms. Rooms are old, but clean and beds are comfy. Showers get hot and water pressure is fine.

It IS on the main drag through town, so road noise IS expected, trucks drive by at night and nothing can be done about that, so bring earplugs if it will bother you.

The Esquire Inn is an older style 'motor court' accomodation that is completely up to date and well appointed with first line beds, bathroom, air conditioner, tv, etc, It is super convenient to downtown Elko. The staff is very friendly and very helpful with local recommendations and information. The Esquire is very affordable. I have stayed here before and I will stay here again--highly recommend.

There was really nothing about the Esquire that I didn't like. The rooms are on the small side which may be an issue for some people. Also, the parking is also somewhat tight-this wasn't any problem for us.

The manager and staff were great, the upgrades to the rooms were done nicely, the cable/TV was easy to use and was a good service. Easy access to areas you need to get to, pretty centrally located, a good breakfast place (The Mug) and grocery stores within a block. Nice room fan augments the AC

The street noise level, particularly the motorcycle racing, and trucks 11:30-!:30, and the parking is limited, so as many people cannot seem to park inside the lines, or go straight instead of diagonally you have a tough time getting in, especially if you are out late. However, I used the "check-in only" and it was accommodated by the Management.

Great value. Easy check-in. Good location. Very clean and comfortable room. Great shower. Comfortable bed. Good air-conditioner. Quiet location. Room included a good refrigerator w/icebox. Lot of good lighting and outlets for computer, etc. Room included a table and chairs for dining. For the price, liked this property a lot.

Tight parking. Ice machine needed to be repaired (although it worked). Two long pillows were provided for sleeping; would have preferred four smaller pillows. Bars of soap very small. A fresh fruit bowl would have been nice at breakfast rather than the assortment of cold cereal.

We felt right at home in our room at the Esquire Inn in Elko, NV for a two-night stay. The room was updated and very clean. The refrigerator and microwave were a welcome addition. The breakfast consisted of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juices, milk, mini-muffins, apples, bananas, instant oatmeal and three kinds of cold cereal. It was adequate. The owner was so helpful in recommending a restaurant called Odea Mediterranean. I highly recommend this restaurant. Great tzatziki and pita bread. Great place to stay for the money.

Noise on street behind us. Noise from upstairs guests. Someone's alarm was going off at 6:15 am and went on for about 40 minutes. The owner came in to our room to hear it and had no idea where it was coming from. There are no alarm clocks in the rooms, but it must have been coming from an adjacent room.

The place was impeccably clean and the owner was very kind and had great hospitality! Turned on the heater in the room before we arrived late in the evening. Adjusted breakfast time earlier for us, so we could get traveling on the road before the inclement weather was starting. The beds were comfortable. We will stay there again when we pass through next time.

The parking space was a bit tight and awkward, but there is nothing they can really do about it. We had a big SUV, but I don't think the smaller vehicles would have any issues.

Owners are very friendly and welcoming. Hotel is in a great location as it is just a few minutes walk to downtown and a 15 min drive to the California Trail Interpretive Center and also not far from the Ruby Mountains. Rooms are very cozy and comfortable and the recliner was a nice surprise! Light continental breakfast provided in the mornings. Very good value for the money and will stay here again next time I am in Elko!

Had no complaints at all

Took an overnight break in Elko on a long trip west. The hotel has friendly, helpful staff. Room was basic but very clean, bed was comfortable. Walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops.

Traffic noise was loud. It's not the hotel's fault that locals in pickup trucks like to roar up and down the street, but it's unfortunate for guests. Breakfast was minimal.

We liked everything about this motel! Our room was exceptionally clean and the bed was comfortable. We appreciated the spaciousness of the rooms and had the bonus features of a refrigerator, microwave and a very good internet connection. It was the nicest room we've stayed in on our trip so far. And one of the other rooms we stayed in was twice the price. and not nearly as nice. The owner is friendly and helpful. Our one night stay in this gem of a motel was most enjoyable!

The gentleman that owned the property was exceptionally kind. The staff was fantastic as well. The room was very comfortable and clean. It was located close to where I needed to be.

Being from a ranch area, I found the traffic noise a bit harder than probably most would. But worth it for being close to my daytime destination.
