This hotel is an older variety dating to the early to mid-1900s. For that reason, I took points off for Facilities, but honestly, it was very comfortable and quaint. Just be aware that it is a small town and small hotel. Guests should not expect the same accommodations as modern hotels. The staff was quite friendly and attentive. I was only there for a couple of nights, but it was a wonderful experience! I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is still under renovation and should be opening more rooms soon! It is small and the rooms are quite small. But, for small parties, or couples, it is quite adequate and comfortable.

Historic location and across from the train depot. Grassy area across from the hotel was great for the dogs to relax and walk on grass.

The bathtub was too high for both my spouse and myself. We have mobility issues and a very concerned about falling, so we bypassed using the shower in the tub. Although we requested a room on the ground floor, none seemed to be available, so we managed to make it up to the second floor. This was a challenge for both of us but we made it. Our dogs loved the stairs.

The hotel itself was nostalgic and went perect with the town. It felt like we were back in time! Amazing. The new owners were outstanding...Danica you took very good care of us both at breakfast and hospitality wise making sure we had enough towels and that our room was perfect. Anna...you have a great personality and business sense along with your husband whose name I don't remember (Im sorry). This family will make you feel right at home and you will not want to leave💜 We will be back for sure!!

That we couldn't stay longer

They did not offer breakfast, but had a great dinner menu. Know that it IS an old, small-town hotel, small rooms, nothing fancy. But it is clean, comfortable, great location if you are there for the railroad (and who isn't?). Nice 2nd floor lounge area and balcony with view (see photo). Good value in my opinion.

Breakfast! Hard to find breakfast in Chama. Well, it's hard to find dinner in Chama on a Sunday too, so at least they had that.

We got the in the midst of a power outage. The staff had our receipt already printed and we could go right to our room. The facilities were old but well maintained and CLEAN. When power was restored, they accommodated us by feeding us a scrumptious meal immediately since the power could be out again. Sure enough, shortly after we finished, the power was interrupted again.

The bed was the best thing about the room. Staff was super friendly and they took care of an issue that we had.

The hotel needs some inprovements. There was no fans in the bathroom. Lamp in our room didnt work. Windows were hard to use to get the humidity out of the room after showers.

I was impressed by the spotlessly clean room and a comfy, cozy bed. It was fun to feel like I was back in the early 1900's with the old style building and some antique furnishings. Very convenient to be across the street from the train station, just a short walk away. I was also very pleased that I chose to have dinner there. Dinner was plentiful and oh so delicious. It made me want to stay an extra day just so I could have another dinner!

I would like to have had a small fan of some kind. I would also recommend a screen of some sort in the lobby to block the view of the large, unsightly area to the side of the check-in desk. On first glance I nearly turned and left except that I had already pre-paid. I'm certainly glad I didn't leave because I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to staying with you again!

Friendly staff. Great location. Exotic and esoteric furnishings

Metal exterior stairs to the hotel part of the building were steep and tricky to use . Ladies in particular struggled with their luggage as there was no elevator. These stairs could have been lethal in wet or snowy weather

Very convenient to the railroad. Rooms are very cute and feel historical. Not modern in any way, but clean and comfortable.

The phone number on booking.com wasn't the hotel's number. The rooms are not air conditioned, but not much was in Chama.

I really enjoyed the property. I liked the decor of it, the puzzle and games upstairs, just the all around feel of it. Even though it's an old property, the bed was really comfortable and the toilet was updated. It was very clean and well maintained.
