Having stayed at the cheaper Red Roof Inn on our way to Texas, we decided to stay at the Econo Lodge on the way back home. We are so glad we did! This is a much nicer facility with more amenities. They gave us a room at the back of the property, so it was very quiet. The furnishings are modern and comfortable. The room was very spacious. Our two queen room could easily have accommodated a family of four. There was a table in the corner, a desk, fridge, microwave, etc. The bathroom and area for our clothes was separated from the entrance with a wall, which was nice. Breakfast was amazing, with fresh-cooked eggs and sausage, hot and cold cereal, hot and cold beverages, fruit, a waffle maker, yogurt, etc. The owners had Christian materials and magazines for lodgers in the lobby.

The polyester sheets made me hot; cotton would be better. We had one unwelcome visitor--a spider--and a large cobweb in the entryway of our room. The motel was a bit more expensive than we expect for a weekday stay.

The room was on the back away from the road. It was quiet and we slept well. It was very large and even had a recliner! The fridge was new and had a real separate freezer so we were able to refreeze our ice packs for the cooler. The bed was comfortable, the pillows and towels were nice. The bathroom had plenty of room and the lighting was good for putting on makeup. Breakfast was good with several choices, but I wouldn't recommend the eggs. I do recommend this place. It was a little odd that at breakfast you had to ask for a biscuit to go with the gravy. So, we just didn't have any. The eggs were an unusual texture, I don't think they were real eggs. But, the sausage was good.

Staff was super friendly. The location was great - near Pokestop for those who play like my son 😁, great price, and the attention to detail in regards to cleanliness, and mindful about Covid-19 precautions like disinfecting areas. very close to a couple museums (Museum of Geology is 3 minutes away), restaurants all around - one right next to the property, and overall convenient.

Like any town in the hot desert, ants and bugs may be an issue. I found a few little ants trying to crawl in from a tiny crack in the wall, and a baby cricket made it up the sink somehow.

the rooms were large and spacious. They renovated most of their rooms. all fresh and clean. The exercise facility was huge and spotless. Karen at the front was awesome. She was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was the usual free breakfast. Karen made us scrambled eggs and sausage. also, there is a decent diner next door.

The hot tub was cold and that was one of the reasons I picked this hotel. The outside of the building is a little dumpy.

The room was impeccably clean, updated, modern, quiet & comfortable. I found the mattress & bedding to be very comfortable. The fridge was clean, worked well and ran very quietly. The entry door seals were intact & functional; I often encounter entry doors that allow light & unconditioned air to leak by, but not this time!

A choice of firmer pillows would have been nice.

We were in the area for photography birds at Bosque del Apache Refuge. I stayed in several hotels and definitely will recommend staying at this hotel for anyone go to Bosque del Apache. The rooms are big, comfortable, clean, and quiet for your nightly stay. The breakfast starts at 5:30 AM so you wouldn't miss the bird blastoff show before sunrise.

Rooms were modern and clean. The breakfast was much better than expected. In addition to the usual economy hotel continental breakfast, they made eggs and sausage on order, had sausage gravy and biscuits and a waffle machine. Plus, in addition to the usual cornflakes and raisin bran, they had granola.

We don't stay at many Econolodges. The people who run this one really got things right. The room was very clean, there were healthy options at breakfast, and the bed was comfortable.

the only thing that could be improved was the wifi. We kept getting kicked off and had to switch to our hotspot.

The friendliness and willingness of the staff to make our stay a good one. The high level of cleanliness, very comfy beds.

The LED lights were cool temperature, so room felt cold (although it wasn't). Personal preference for "warmer" lights, but I bet it's nice in the summer.
