Great family trip! The location was perfect! Right next door to the two best restaurants in Old Forge, a Food market, gas station, and foot trail (perfect and private!). Very peaceful landscape and location (a little walk from downtown). The heated pool was perfect after a long hike! The outside gazebo all lite up with a brand-new grill to cook out on (buy big steaks next door at the market)! Plenty of outside seating. Dog friendly rooms and you would never know! Make sure you let them know, these rooms are limited. Extremely clean! The staff couldn't help you enough, extra blankets, towels and coffee! The lodge has been nostalgic for the area, so glad we stayed. This will be an annual family trip! Appreciate everyone's kindness!

This was my 2nd time staying here. The location is very convenient and the rooms are very spacious. It’s about a mile into Old Forge so it’s walkable, we opted to drive and park in town but certainly could walk if you want. There’s a gas station right next store, which was great. We were traveling with our 1 year old and there is plenty of room for a pack in play along with a sitting area with tables and chairs. It was rainy during our trip so we didn’t use the balcony but the balcony and chairs are nice. Rooms are clean. Pool area is very nice, there are towels available. It’s an indoor pool which was great bc we could still go in during the rain. There is a washer/dryer and microwave on the 2nd floor that you can use, each room has a fridge and coffee maker. There’s a grill area too if you wanted to bring food to make.

This wouldn’t impact me staying here again, I definitely would, but want to give an honest review for other travelers. The property is dated and the furnishings are worn. Our beds and the floor were very creaky so we had to be careful about moving quietly once our baby was asleep. There is not an elevator for the 2nd floor so it can be a challenge to get your stuff upstairs. The AC wasn’t on when we got there so the room was hot for a while until the AC got going and cooled it. There is not daily housekeeping, but front desk was helpful when I needed some extra items during the stay.

My family has been staying at that Lodge for about 40 years. My uncle and Aunt lived up there most of my life and we have always stayed there. The only thing that I missed was the continental breakfast with the new owners. Other than that, everything there was great! I even recommended it to some people that we saw at the water Safari park.

Putting back the continental breakfast. I have a health condition that requires that I eat early and did not realize that they no longer had that and everything was closed for breakfast.

There wasn't any breakfast at the lodge, but the breakfast was good at the pancake house, but very crowded because it was the only one open. We wanted to take my son and daughter in law to the pancake house when they came to see us (they were camping), but they were closed.

We would have liked to see more restaurants open and the stores open later, after all, it is a resort town and it was the middle of August.. Also, I went to get coffee in the convenient store down the street from the lodge, my wife asked me to get her some hot water(she makes her own Chi Tea) and they wanted to charge me $3.50 same as for the coffee. I never heard of this for plain water. Naturally, i didn't take it!

The staff is so helpful. Every person I interacted with was amazing. Everything was clean. Some special mentions would be the big "mini" fridge, the super clean microwaves available on each floor, the on demand television and the GORGEOUS spacious indoor pool area.

My windows didn't open and there's a switch that controls the tv which is odd but I didn't complain to staff about either of these things

The staff were literally the friendliest people we have ever stayed with they were really happy to help you and wanted to make sure you had a good stay. The pool area was amazing and it just been renovated and looked really really nice. The location to everything was fantastic and the beds were comfortable plus it was really really clean.

This is only gentle criticism because we really had a great stay and we'll come back for sure. It needs a lot of updates and there were a few things broken in our room... The bathroom window was left open and the crank to close it was broken. (Its February) The bathroom door had dog nail scratches all over it and it had been chewed on. One of the remotes had been chewed on by a dog. There was a cigarette burn hole in one of the chairs. Although the beds were comfortable, the pillows were not, they were completely flat and uncomfortable.

The room was updated and clean. The king size been was super super comfortable! There’s a large tv in the room along with a small balcony. There was a microwave and mini fridge in the room too.

Minor issues a few light bulbs out nothing major. Also I believe the tubs motor system was over heating as it kept shutting off and turning back on.

I loved my room...it was comfortable and clean. I enjoyed spending time in it.

The staff was excellent...with the exception of the check in clerk. For the second year in a row, that person was abrupt, rude like and unwelcoming. It is your first impression and it wasn't good.

I loved the overall feel of this hotel. It was warm and cozy. The heat worked in out room and the bath water was always hot no matter what time we took showers. I loved the inclosed pool. The water was warm and did not have a chemical smell and I loved the wood and all the plants. Made it feel tropical.

The beds were hard but that was about it and we didn't see much wild life while there.
