The location was beautiful, especially the hotel, inside and outside. It's amazing with how old it is how well preserved they kept it. The food there at the hotel's restaurant is delicious. Also, with the hotel being haunted, I was super excited to go because I've never stayed in a haunted hotel before. I'm very into paranormal activity, but have always been skeptical about if you can really feel spirits or not. I definitely felt a strong presence here, so much it really caught me off guard, yet was so freaking cool!! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

My granddaughter and I got in late, around 11pm. It was a history lesson spending a night and the following day in Abbeville. Loved the antiquities that the Belmont has acquired over the years. Beautiful in their own right, they were beautifully displayed as well. Starting with the check in "desk", and it just goes on from there.

The weather did not cooperate for our weekend adventure. Which brought to light the desperate need for an "unloading" area, preferably dry. Even at the very least gutters for that tin roof at least in the loading/unloading area. Especially in the corner. I went to load my trunk and without realizing it I was directly under the "corner pour spout" as I bent to unlock the trunk I got completely drenched. The next 3 hrs of travel weren't comfortable, but life goes on. I just thought I would share what I thought would be constructive. I also know that there could be historical limitations on what you can and cannot do. Ultimately you could request a variance. Such as you could to become FULLY handicapped accessable.

this is an amazing hotel with a lot of history. been staying here for years now and the seasoned staff is amazing and very helpful. the tavern downstairs is a great place to have a drink or grab a bite to eat. food is great. you can also have your meal on the veranda which overlooks the downtown area. the opera house is located right next door and host the most amazing shows in the southeast. a great night stay and a show, you can’t be the package!

we couldn’t complain about anything

The breakfast was ok, would have been nicer if they had offered muffins and danishes as well. We loved the Belmont Inn and the decor with all the antique furnishings. The friendliness of all the staff was outstanding!! That location was walking distance to downtown Abbeville. We so enjoyed our stay!!

The first room we were in only had a space heater It was pretty cold. For some reason the odd rooms only had central air and heat. We had to be moved to an even room number to be warm. 🙂

very quaint place, we loved the history of the building, and the room was small, but just perfect. They were great in accommodating us , we got married at midnight up the street, and we needed a late check out the next day - THANK YOU They also turned the lights on outside so we could get a couple extra shots with our photographer. It was wonderful and we enjoyed it. Lunch the next day was fantastic as well.

we were told it was haunted. I didn't see one single ghost :) Seriously, nothing to complain about, it was great.

this is a amazing property! the staff is always respectful and polite and are willing to assist you. we have stayed here multiple times and only had one issue that the staff went above and beyond to take care of. tinkers tavern is a cozy bar/ pub that has an amazing vibe and the food is great!

stayed here multiple times. the tavern on the ground floor is awesome and the atmosphere is great. most of the staff have worked here for years and they are all helpful and make you feel like family. the rooms are cozy and both the breakfast is really good. this place has it all. while you stay you can catch a great show in the opera house next door. the Elvis show is the best!

there is nothing that we didn’t like. the elevator is a little slow… but we love it

The antique vibe and old building. The staff was friendly also.

The restaurant isn’t open during the week so we had to find other places to eat. Also the continental breakfast wasn’t much of a selection.

Great staff. Warm welcome. Comfortable bed. Great location in center of old town. Turn of the century, Victorian-style hotel.

AC was a window unit that was noisy.

The Belmont fit the ambiance of the town, a step back in time. Decorated appropriately, clean and comfortable. Great location for visiting Abbeville.

Check in and out staff was not very interactive leaving us uncertain on how to proceed with the process. Senior staff was very welcoming and interactive.
