Quality Inn Mitchell

My family and I enjoyed the breakfast and the pool/spa area. We all really liked the breakfast. I also liked the staff and the hotel itself was very clean. Would definitely recommend this hotel. And the best part, it's pet friendly, family friendly, business friendly.

There wasn't really anything that I didn't like about the hotel. I wish it was a little cheaper but I also know that we paid for the great service and the comfort of the hotel and room itself. Saying that, the price is understandable. The bathroom could be bigger, also, in the hotel rooms. It was pretty cramped up in there.

Good location, friendly staff and rooms were clean. Happy breakfast was available even though we missed it.

We had a late night with 4-H events so missed breakfast the next morning, would be nice if stayed open until 10am. Also when booked online it said I could pay at the location, intending to pay with cash since was personal, but the office had already charged my card before we even checked in and said it could not be changed. I have always been able to pay with cash when checking in at any hotel when not traveling for business. This will be something I will check on further before making any reservations in the future.

The hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious.

I received an email while driving (didn't see it until I stopped for gas and to stretch). They said I requested a change in my check-in time and they wanted to know when I'd be there. When I didn't answer right away they asked me to answer them. When I booked the room I requested a late check in time but when I got to the hotel they told me I was "supposed" to check in between 5pm-6pm. There were a lot of people looking for rooms and they needed to know if I was going to use the room so they tried to call me but because I didn't answer they emailed me. I told them I had requested a late check in and I had already paid for the room so I didn't understand what the problem was. I was very polite but I didn't appreciate the conversation. The parking was chaotic and not defined at all.

The breakfast was amazing. Something for everyone: cereal and waffles for the kids, eggs, sausage, and biscuits and gravy for us. Mini muffins were fresh and the yogurt was good. The coffee machine could fill your travel cup as well. The room size was great. Was able to move around with all our stuff in the room. The pool area was open till midnight, and the hot tub was working well. The staff was very helpful and answered all questions we had about the area from the Corn Palace to restaurants. It is also pet friendly the main reason we chose this hotel, and everything else was a bonus. Loved this hotel!

Nothing to complain about. Very satisfied.

Fairly new and well furnished facility. Breakfast was normal for a Choice facility. Hot tub was working. Dog able to stay in the room with us. Even after confusion about our room, staff bent over backwards to make it right.

The heating and air conditioning units were separate and should be well marked to explain that. Also, the refrigerator door was hard to operate.

Breakfast was good, eggs and sausage, biscuits and gravy, location was good so was parking, check in easy. Pool and hot tub nice and clean plenty of towels.

The outside of building is a little dated, maybe just the color of the building. There was a little paint flaking off the ceiling in the shower. Also would of liked a microwave in our room.

Comfortable bed and pillows in 112. Staff friendly, place clean and updated.

I had trouble with the airconditioner turning off in the night, room then stuffy, waking me up. I finally reset it by turning it on and off, which helped. But I was already awake at 4:45 instead of 6 so had a short night as a result.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was very good with scramble eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy. I will make this my overnight stay the next time in Mitchell South Dakota.

Breakfast was ok…not that tasty.

Pool didn’t have towels to use there. And, hot tub jets were not in good places…an investment, but a better hot tub with hets that work for weary traveler backs, shoulders and hips would be outstanding!

Staff was awesome! Very attentive to our needs and eager to help us! Made sure we knew there was a parking spot and Entrance near our room!! Saved us a lot of time hauling stuff to and from our room!

Eggs at breakfast were a bit salty
