La Quinta by Wyndham Dalhart

The location was great as was the room and the staff. Comfortable, Clean, courteous staff. Property is in great shape and appears well maintained. Sundry and food options for purchase in the lobby was a nice addition.

Breakfast was only fair! Coffee was weak though I loved that they had actual Half and Half creamer. Didn't care for the eggs and the make-your-own waffle though attractive in the shape of Texas had minimal taste.

Honestly, Dalhart is a place you stop on your way to someplace else. That said, the La Quinta is the best hotel/motel we've ever stayed at in Dalhart. We were coming from Aspen, CO. on our way back to the DFW area where we live - a trip we take every couple of years. We've tried several places in Dalhart, Dumas, and Amarillo and this La Quinta is the only one I'd book a second time. We were in a room on the 1st floor, close to the pool and the ice machine, and we didn't hear a sound during the night, and we went to bed pretty early. Good towels, comfy bed, clean room, decent breakfast buffet, quiet AC, good water pressure, plenty of hot water - friendly, helpful staff. We have no complaints at all.

Well, the stairs from the parking lot to the front door could be in better shape - but there is a decent handicap ramp to use instead.

Breakfast is OK. The eggs were terrible. The sausage was good. There was no hot oatmeal the waffles stuck in the pans and the muffins and bread Were on the stale side the staff was very good in the breakfast area. She was right on top of things, keeping things loaded and cleaned up.

The bed was on the soft side and it hurt my back. Overall, the room was ok and staff friendly,There could be a place to hang a towel when you’re in the shower so you can reach it conveniently. The eggs were soaky

Comfortable clean beds and cute little towel sculpture settin% on the bed when I walked in. And a little card with the name of who cleaned the room :) Bed was just comfortable. They have a pool and an exercise room. You can even buy products at the desk like toothbrush combs and other shower stuff. Cold drinks also and not the vending machine which makes alot of noise when u use them. Breakfast was really good. The sausage was good quality sausage not the cheap tasting stuff like other places. I like this hotel and next time I am in dalhart I will be using this hotel again!!

The towel bar in the room appeared to have been ripped out of the wall before and the arch that is suppose to flow kinda out from the tub was downward so that the curtain slides just gathered in the middle and left space on either side for water to flow out when showering. And I always drink more then one cup of coffee in the a.m but there was only two packets of not so strong coffee in the room that tasted like the cup it went in but I was grateful to have coffee before breakfast which starts at 6. I have heard Texans love their gravy and biscuits, so it would be nice to come in and be able to try a Texans gravy and biscuits but they did not offer gravy, which was fine but it be nice to give travelers a taste of Texas :) I was happy the breakfast was delicious!!

It was up to date. it was in a good location.

Enjoyed our stay for the second time in 8 days. It was a very nice, clean room with comfortable bed and all the amenities we wanted/needed at our fingertips. Staff very helpful and courteous. Will definitely recommend to friends.

Nothing lacking, so no complaints or upgrades needed.

The staff was wonderful at both check in and check out and the cleaning staff was friendly. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. 3 different firmness of pillows so everybody was happy. The shower had great water pressure and had the usual shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Room was nice and quiet.

Very cozy hotel with the most comfortable pillows I have ever used in a hotel. I hadn't planned on staying here as I was heading for Colorado Springs. I had broken down with a blown run-flat tires and was forced to stay overnight in Dalhart waiting for tire to arrive the next day. Stuff happens and got I lucky breaking down where I did as Dalhart was the last major city in the Panhandle SE if Raton. Thanks, La Quinta, and your Dalhart staff. You were my home away from home when I needed you the most!

Very clean, helpful staff, checked in to make sure everything was all right with the room

At breakfast, I didn’t see any salt and pepper out, but I also didn’t ask the front desk lady where it was, I’m sure I just missed it.
