The location was perfect for us to get from the hotel to our trip's intended location and close to the city without the typical headache of traveling in with the gridlock traffic that is notorious in HTX. The rooms are clean and the staff members are not intrusive to the privacy of their guest. This was not our typical trip to HTX for business as usual. This was a more private trip to handle some family affairs. I was thrown a back to the fact that the hotel was a Scottish Inn (typically outdated and not even a comparison to the hotels we usually use) and we arrived off the interstate late the first night to see their sign as we came down the main highway. I must say that it was a diamond in the rough and we are blessed to have found it. We were departing early that morning to go to the city centre as usual with a reservation for the hotel where we were going to stay. That said we have been here four nights and plan on staying at this place for our last night as well. I almost didn't want to write this review and keep it hush hush for our visits to HTX in the near future. I find that bad guest seem to have a tendency to stay in nice places and the places sooner than not become more than undesirable as the undesirables stay in the properties. I hope this review is a reflection on the pleasant stay we had and not an opening for the undesirable guest to destroy a good thing 😕

We had no complaints about this property. I was shocked to see a Scottish Inn keep the facility up to date and flabbergasted to the fact that the property ranks higher than most 4 star hotels in the city centre (especially when it is put to this test against them) the ranking of 1 to 5 stars is a good idea at best for a comparison of the hotels comfort and privacy level. I will give them a 5 compared to our usual 4 and 5 star hotels in the city centre that deserve a 2 on their best day!

We like the price the convenience and the no hassle

They currently have Jacuzzi rooms but they're not listed anywhere so there's no way to know how to get one.

The furniture was old in the hotel, but it didn't bother me. The bed was normal, the bed linen was clean. For this price, a normal varian.

Bed was on metal frame platform so noisy at times. Some of the stuff could be updated

(Room 121) It was quiet. Even the patrons outside didn't get unruly. The room was large and very roomy. The shower pressure was amazing. No critters crawling around. The hotel is located in a nice area for shopping. I'm cool with everything because you get what you pay for.

I love bathrooms, but this one... not so much. The tub was rusty down the side and had a hole at the base at the floor. There was no sealant where the tub and wall met, so water ran down behind the tub and from under the wall. It flooded the floor in the bathroom. Luckily, we had slides to wear to go to the bathroom. The front desk said they had no other rooms to move us to, but the problem would be fixed in the morning. I don't know if it was because we headed back home the next day. The bed was a bit firmer than I'm used to. The safe on the wall didn't work. The couch has a slight odor but nothing overwhelming.

The room was clean and the A/C works great. The hot water for the shower was great

The bed Squeaks when you sit on it and get off of it. The TV was a little small and it didn't have too many channels to watch. I didn't like the fact that you can hear all the activities that was going on in the parking lot. There was kids outside playing at late at night and you can hear them I have stay in others Scottish Inn & Suite but I have to say that this one is the worst one that I ever stsy in
