I booked on the fly, mid roadtrip, based on price and reviews. It’s just a cute little old school motel in downtown Junction, on the main road about halfway between Lum’s BBQ and the riverfront park. My King room was clean, smelled fine, had a luggage rack and plenty of places to put my stuff, a fridge. Bathroom was remodeled well. They provide a light breakfast in the morning, with coffee, a waffle machine, cereal, bananas, a few other things. More than I expected! Cute little pool in the center courtyard for summertime. Would definitely recommend for a quick stay, or even longer stay.

Nothing I didn’t like, all good. I don’t mean to make it sound like a 4-star hotel, it’s just a cute & clean little motel, not shabby but not hipster. But it was everything I wanted from an overnight stop in Junction.

Great location, and staff was helpful and friendly. We checked in pretty late at night and he was very kind about it. Ample parking, and facilities were as described. Noise from the road cannot be heard in this setup, which was nice! We didn’t use the pool but it looked clean. We didn’t have breakfast, but it was an option.

Soap dispenser was empty (shampoo dispenser wasn’t, so it wasn’t a big deal), and our neighbors were super loud - early morning. We woke up to a child screaming and her mother shouting at her to use the restroom. Walls are a little thin (we could hear the argument very clearly) but this was largely due to their volume. Not a dealbreaker. Still a good value for the price point.

At check in we commented to Rick how clean and nice the lobby was and were the rooms as nice. He said yes and he was right! The entire place is well cared for and, in fact, workers were busy on the property painting. The room was clean and comfortable. We travel a lot and this may be one of the best bargains we've ever experienced. Mind you, its an older, quaint motel yet exceeded most of the newer ones we've stayed at. A very pleasant experience and Rick was friendly and kind. Highly recommend!

If I had to say,anything somewhat negative, I really couldn't think of a thing.

Sun Valley is an older hotel. However, it has received updates. We stayed in a room with a king bed. It appeared updated and clean. The rooms are approx. 15 ft. X 15 ft with an additional bath. Each room has refrigerator, flat screen TV, microwave and air conditioning, desktop, chair, dresser, etc. Bath is updated and tiled throughout.Sun Valley does have some rustic charm. Each room in somewhat different from every other room. We have stayed here before and we plan to return and stay here again. We feel that, it is a great value for the cost. It's an older, updated and clean hotel. That's it. I'm sure that, when we are in the area, we will stay here again. A good value for the money.

Looks like it's been remodeled so that was very nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and a pleasant surprise for a small motel. Great low price.

I didn't understand why with all the empty spaces/rooms they had to stick somebody right next to my room? In the morning I only saw 3 cars there. When I arrived, I was just getting things out of my car when someone else shows up and parks right next to me. They didn't even park in front of their own room. So their car was next to mine and then they had the room on the other side of me. I had the fan mode running on AC to mask their noise plus I had my own fan. More privacy would have been appreciated

Well maintained rom, has a lot of amenities sich as iron, microwave, TV, fridge, etc. The bed was clean and the overall room's condition is very good. The check-in process was fairly fast and you can lark your car right in front of your room. The motel offers a humble but fulfilling hot breakfast with eggs, pancakes and cereal.

The pillows were too soft for my liking. Nothing other than that can be said as I only stayed for 1 night as a stopover.

Quick, easy check in. The room was clean and the was bed comfortable. The price was very affordable, and it made for a great place to stop and get some sleep before hitting the road again in the morning.

The doors close loudly and if you have inconsiderate neighbors, it can be VERY loud when the door slams. Weatherstripping could be replaced as a lot of light spills in around the door. Affordable motel so, some imperfections are to be expected. All in all, a great value and would stay again if passing through.

Clean, friendly staff

Needs a setting on the air conditioner so the fan will run to circulate the air. We had to keep the setting on lower temp so the fan would keep running or it would get too hot in there. Also it was a very hot day that day and it would have been nice if they had turned on the air in our room before we arrived. Especially since I kept them updated on our arrival time. Other than this it was great. We'll be back!

This was a very pleasant stay. I like a good old fashioned motor inn, and this family owned and operated property not far off the interstate was great. The owner personally checked me in and was kind and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. The location convenient and quiet. It was a great value, especially for the price. I'd recommend.

I've stayed there many times. Good location for South Llano River State Park, I do wildlife photography there. Good hot shower, microwave was good, mini fridge with a small freezer, good for breakfast bowls because I am out in the field before the included breakfast.

A desk would be nice. Wifi is adequate but I used the bed for a desk and needed to put laptop on a tray to keep it from overheating on the covers.
