Hampton Inn Uvalde

We travel extensively. My husband and I agree that the Hampton Inn in Uvalde rates as one of the top places to stay. The young ladies working at the room desk (Melissa and Star) were very welcoming and accommodating. My husband is disabled. They gave us several room options to consider. The hot breakfast was excellent. The wide variety of choices made sure all guest had something they liked to eat. The dining area was clean and spacious. We were pleasantly greeted by every employee we came in contact with. From the young man painting baseboards in the lobby, to the housekeeping staff & the young host in the breakfast area—-all spoke to us and hoped we had a great stay.

No complaints. i failed to ask if they had senior discounts. My fault. I feel the price was a little steep compared to other local hotels.

The beds were very comfortable & their breakfast was good & decent. And the quietness was great too.

The smell of mildew in both rooms and in one of the rooms it had the smell stronger than the other. And not only can you smell it, you were able to see it too. The mildew & black mold was coming from the bathrooms, could be caused due to very little ventilation? Didn't help our asthma & allergies, but rooms were very comfortable & semi clean. Carpet & furniture can use some deep cleaning especially when you are having to worry about "Covid". Other thing that bother us was there were "NO" trash cans around to throw or empty out our trash, we needed to put it outside of our rooms which I don't think that's very sanitary & wait for staff to pick it up.

The cleanliness was very impressive.From the entrance, landscaping, lobby area and the rooms were clean and welcoming.

My husband is disabled.We struggled with the hand held shower wand. The soap shampoo and conditioner were placed to high for disabled to reach. I felt the tub needs “do not slip” stripes to the bottom in disabled rooms.

The breakfast was good. The waffles were excellent. The overall cleanliness of the facility was good.

I think $182.00 per night was very expensive and the facility was way over priced. I would not book the hotel again at that price. The alarm clock didn't work; could not set the wake-up time. The over the phone wake-up call did not ring in despite the fact the the time and date was verified in the request.

It was a great place

Well they can’t seem to charge what they said it would cost they have all these different charges and I ask staff about it and they can’t give you a straight answer so I guess over all the prices are not what they promote !!!

The breakfast was delicious, fresh and hot.

The pillows are not firm. The room rate seemed high and we had to pay extra for our hunting dog.

Breakfast was great, wish it was hot breakfast but I understand due to covid.

I didn’t like the fact that I couldn’t check in early. Front clerk stated she would call me and never called me. I still haven’t been reimbursed for my $50 deposit.

Loved the space and cleanliness. Staff was kind and understanding.

Breakfast was not what was listed. We were expecting the buffet style but covid made it grab and go which would’ve been fine if it had been made clear before we booked.

Everything was great except the breakfast

Breakfast was nothing but muffin, and bagel with coffee basically. Bring back the hot food already. Restaurants are open yall should be cooking again to.

The breakfast was not enough. Along with what you provided, you can a least provide sausage biscuits or croissants to warm up in the microwaves.
