Other hotels all over town/county can take a few lessons on cleanliness from this Motel's cleaning crew - spotless! Front desk gal (cleaning crew!) was very nice and accommodating, the mini fridge was already cold, the bed was comfortable, the shower was spacious and had great pressure.

I didn't realize the train tracks were right behind the Motel - once I figured out what the sound was, it became white noise. Note: there was no train horn, just the sound of the train on the tracks. The A/C worked great but a little loud - again, became white noise.

Very comfortable room. Clean, decent size, decent bathroom though the sink was kind of small and lacking in a place to hang the towels. No big deal though, still a decent bathroom. Nice big shower. The Bed was comfortable and decent internet and TV. Microwave and Fridge. Ice machine worked fine. For the price, Desert Inn stacks up to many hotels/motels that I have paid a lot more for. It is obvious that owner/manager takes pride in what they do.

This is the only place I plan to stay at in Van Horn. Was the perfect room for passing thru. Bed was extremely comfortable. Room had everything I could/did need. The price is an excellent value for the room & was the cheapest room that night in town. Only problem I found was that it's a small motel that fills up early. Sooooo.... make your reservation early and not when you get to or nearby.

I didn't find anything that I didn't like. Since it's making me write more...... A 50" flat screen would be nice.....lol.

Liked how clean the room was. Also liked the flexibility of the booking and how quiet the hotel was at night, even on a friday night. Would stay again

Didnt like how strong the cinnamon cleaner was. Bothered my asthma at first. Wish the a/c was on before we got there, the room was pretty warm and took awhile to cool down. Also wish the tv worked better, limited channels and several were static.

The owner was very easy to talk to & let us check in early. The motel is one of the old desert pink motels we used to see everywhere. It's the best kind of nostalgia! Immaculately clean & the beds were the most comfortable we slept on our entire trip. Will definitely continue using this as a wonderful stop anytime we are traveling to see our family.

Quiet, comfortable, and clean. The motel is located on the Bus I H 10 about a mile from the main highway and was close to many eating establishments. Large parking area.

The AC was turned off in the room and it took about 2 hours to cool it down. I'll call ahead and ask them to turn it on prior to my arrival for this my 3rd visit. Everything else was great.

A great little old style motel in a very small town. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and bug free. There are a handful of restaurants within short distance. One bar & grill was right next door. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels.

The A/C was off when I got there but it cooled down nicely while I went to get a bite to eat.

Clean, fast check-in, comfortable bed, hot water in the shower, lots of electrical and USB outlets

The color scheme is not much of a scheme and that's as critical as I can be. Trains were audible while I was awake but didn't keep me awake or wake me up. No chain latch/security lock on door

The rooms were immaculately clean, spacious and recently renovated. We needed a property just off the interstate, and this motel was perfect. One drawback - traffic noise, but the bed was very comfortable, and the noise only seemed to be in the very early AM.

The bed was the best bed i ve slept in in weeks,, The room was amazingly quiet. There is a railroad near by but you never even hear it in the room,, I was met almost immediately at 11:00 and was expeditiously checked in .

Could of had a small coffee pot but at that price who cares.
