First Choice Inns at the Swell

All I expect from any hotel is that it is clean and comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. This hotel fulfilled these requirements plus included a good breakfast.

The alarm clock went off at 6:15am, more than an hour before I needed or planned on waking up. I did not set it nor did housekeeping unset it. When I mentioned it to the front desk it was clear that they didn't care. Another guest overheard me talking and said the same thing happened to her. In the future I will unplug any alarm clocks in the room as they have become irrelevant to anyone with a cell phone.

The hotel overall was fairly clean. Breakfast included hot items such as eggs and sausage and waffles. The gentleman cleaning the breakfast area was doing a good job keeping up with other people's messes.

The tub was high and difficult to get in and out of despite safety rails. Maybe if they update the rooms, consider replacing the tubs with walk-in showers. Walls are paper thin. In fact, when in the lobby checking in, there was a lot of pounding noise coming from the room located directly above the lobby office. Can't imagine how the check in receptionists can put up with the noise.

Checked reviews before booking. Over and over I saw "very clean" and I totally agree. Very clean, very comfortable. Bathroom and bed very clean and nice. Very good shower head and water pressure. Convenient to a really good restaurant across the street and several others less than a half mile away. Full hot breakfast was included.

The toilet is really low. It's a little older hotel so it doesn't have a huge number of USBs for electronics, so you'll want to bring your wall adapters if you're a device junkie. It didn't hamper us.

Breakfast was good, good variety of types of food. Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff was friendly!

Lighting in room could be better and there needs to be a freezer section in the fridge. There needs to be more luggage carts and they need to use lubricant on the really sqeaky wheels on the two carts they do have.

This is a basic hotel that served us really well. After five days on Lake Powell with no hot showers and makeshift beds, we were thrilled. Beds were comfortable, shower had great water pressure, dogs were welcomed and we all found something to eat for breakfast.

Don't expect luxury, just a decent bed, working AC and a friendly person to check you in.

This a very good hotel. Employees are fantastic and really care about your stay. The free breakfast is very good which you don't fine often at these type of hotels. We highly recommend you stay here when in Green River.

Nothing, we like this hotel very much. We go out trail riding in our Jeep and recommend this hotel to all in our club

The staff was excellent. Very friendly, informative, and helpful. Parking was good, plenty of room for my truck and small trailer. Clean facility, nice comfortable beds.

The hot tub broke one of the nights we were there, it was fixed quickly and back up the next night though!

Very nice rooms and we enjoyed walking down to the river.

You might want to warn guests about the automatic-sprinkler system. We went out front and sat at the table and chairs in the grass. We were just relaxing with a drink when suddenly we were nailed with the water being sprayed directly on us. We found it funny and it got us to go walking around. So ended up fine. 😁

It was a beautiful room, very comfortable bed with comfy bedding. The hotel parking was especially accommodating for our RV and trailer. It was located within walking distance to a couple of restaurants. The pool and hot tub were open and in need of updating, jets didn't work in the tub, but still very nice. The room was a little noisy and the air conditioning could be stronger which is why I thought the price was high. The grab and go breakfast was ok. They had a choice of cereal bowls, cereal bars, two mini muffins, or an egg sandwich. You had to ask for one individual item. The egg sandwich was really good and hot I just wish it had come with a cereal bar and fruit or something.

The price seemed a little higher than necessary. It wasn't worth the money.

I loved everything about this property! Our room key didn’t work the last night and I went to the front desk and they gave me a new one. that one didn’t work either and the owner came to our room to do everything he needed to in order for the key to work! the breakfast was amazing! it was a full breakfast and very delicious.

The water in the swimming pool was too cold to swim.
