The hotel is really comfortable and close from the Monument Valley.

Could have been nice to allow hotel guests to have priority or reservation at the restaurant. As it's the only one around, it's super crowdy with other guests. At least, offering a "call to your room" a few minutes before the table is ready would be great instead of having to wait 30 minutes outside.

We stayed in the One-Bedroom Suite w/ Kitchenette and it felt like a cozy little house - spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The kitchenette was perfect for preparing a quick meal, though no breakfast was included. I read they serve an amazing breakfast at a great price, but we opted to grab something from the nearby supermarket instead. The location is stunning, with breathtaking views of Monument Valley right outside. Waking up to the sunrise over the mesas was unforgettable! At $187.20/night (on October 31, 2024), it was a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it for the comfort and experience. Highly recommend!

A bit pricey

When I booked there was limited availability. On their website it states One bedroom villas has a private patio with views of Monument Valley, so I booked this option. On arrival, the villa was located in the middle of other villas with no views. We returned to reception to ask for a villa with a view. The receptionist advised that due to booking through a third party, a view was not requested. After much to-ing and fro-ing and being told we couldn’t move due to the property being overbooked, a supervisor/manager became involved and we were moved to a cheaper queen sized lodge room but again due to booking through a third party, we were not entitled to a refund on the price. The queen sized room was comfortable and clean and the view from the balcony was worth the move. We were also closer to the restaurant, pool and other amenities. If you are only here for one night, go the cheaper lodge option if you can as all the rooms have a view of Monument Valley.

The advertising of the villa rooms needs to be more accurate and either say it has a view or it doesn’t.

Unbelievable view, lovely house. This is a fabulous place to stay. Restaurant food was very good and also very interesting in terms of the menu. You cannot get tired of the views and the atmosphere.

It's not a criticism of the hotel. I would just like to flag up the fact there is no alcohol allowed on premises, I have no issue with that but I was unaware. Also means no bar on site. Be warned. You are a long way away from anywhere, when you stay at GG you stay there. There is nothing for miles around. We stayed 2 nights, 1 would have been enough.

All the staff were friendly. The location was great, it’s right next to a gas station, amazing location for exploring Monument Valley. Gorgeous views!! Every balcony has a view of monument valley. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the balcony and watch the sunrise or sunset Love that the location is pet friendly. There were several areas around the lodge to walk our dog. It’s great that the pool is open so late and it’s an heated enclosed pool. Great that there is a trail from the hotel to the gas station down the hill.

My wife and I had an amazing stay. The rooms were very clean. The hotel is a little dated, but the prices are good. The food is great in the little diner and you cannot believe the views. All the balcony rooms have a great view of Monument Valley. It’s an incredible place to stay to enjoy the area and a beautiful sunset or sunrise. It’s obvious that the staff take great pride and maintaining and caring for their lodge.

We had a wonderful stay at Goulding’s! The location was fabulous - it felt like you were nestled right into the cliff, and the sunrise from our balcony was unmatched. Most importantly, we received wonderful service. A couple of hours after we departed from the hotel, one member of our party realized they had left a hard-to-find device in the linens on the bed. Our phone tracked the device to hotel, and we called the front office. The front office was beyond helpful, immediately tracking where the device was, contacting the appropriate people, and retrieving the device promptly. They were extremely helpful and gracious, even though it was difficult to track the device. The device is now being mailed home. Special thanks to Mona, who was so helpful in finding the device and ensuring it was ours - you really saved us!

I stayed an extra night, so 3 nights in total. When you find yourself somewhere nice you want to stay longer. I had a car it would appear most guests did. I didnt see any public transport, but noticed the hotel had shuttle busses. The Restaurant had carry out option instead of dining in but didnt deliver to your room AKA room service. I accidentally purchased some microwave meals from the grocery store which is nearby, then realized the room had no microwave. Luckily there is a common room with a microwave. Awesome view of Monument valley from room.

No room service. Fridge/freezer but no microwave in room. probably need car to get around. I could hear the neighbours moving things around but that happens, im struggling to think of things i didnt like.

Perfect location very close to the Monument Valley hotspots. The sky in the night is something special, so the down with the Monument Valley as a skyline.

We do not recommend to eat at the restaurant. The waitress was kind but the food is ridiculous, they served it cold and rush to get us out asap. We felt like we were not welcomed at all. I know it is not linked to the room service but whoever read this, please skip that place if you want avoid a bad experience.

We had a king suite with a kitchenette (a little cottage) because we booked last minute. The unit was quite comfortable with 2 beds, a comfortable living room, bathroom, etc. It was also easy to walk outside to watch sunrise over Monument Valley. We ate dinner in the restaurant at the resort. Our food (BBQ half chicken with pilaf and vegetables was good an reasonably priced, especially since there aren't other food options nearby. The resort is a nice place to stay if you can't book the View Lodge.

The kitchenette is really just a good size refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine and sink. You can't cook anything beyond microwave popcorn. You can't even boil water for tea.
