Red Sands Hotel

I liked the room and the beds were comfy! I liked how accommodating the staff was and taking care of our needs when we asked. The pool was great to relax and cool off after hiking and being in the heat. I liked the views from the hotel.

In our room the tack strip for carpet was coming through and would poke our feet and that hurt. I would have liked if they included breakfast. Just some things I noticed carpet needed restretching in the halls cuz we kept tripping

Pleasant surprise! I did not realize this was a full-service spa hotel. Lovely, lovely view from the room. Sweet rock garden paths to walk around on property and you might get to feed the horse. Very nice rooms and lobby. I will definitely stay here next time I’m in Torrey! Great value! If you’re coming to Torrey I highly recommend staying here and not the chain hotel near town. (It’s bad!)

The only thing that was a slight disappointment was the windows had condensation on them between the panes. One cleared up overnight but the other one was quite foggy with condensation and it blocked the beautiful view.

Love the location and design of this hotel! The use of red sandstone around the hotel is very nice and matches the spectacular, surrounding scenery! This is where we always stay when visiting Capitol Reef National Park..

A light breakfast for those of us not wanting to spend extra time before heading out for the day would be an improvement! The only choices are hot drinks mostly. We are usually given more breakfast options so that would be really nice!

You could tell they put a lot of thought into the design of this hotel. Everything was really modern and tasteful. The pool was nice, the patio off our room was a bonus, and we liked the fruit and coffee in the morning. My kids really liked the bunk beds.

The kitchen wasn’t stocked with any towels or paper towels. I also thought the bedding was super thin for as cold as the weather was.

The room was large and lovely with a great view over fields and mountains. Hot tub was great and pool was indoors but looked slightly cloudy so we didn’t use. Their restaurant wasn’t operating so food was a bit inconvenient since many of the restaurants didn’t open until dinner time. Beds were great. Only problem was reading lights - 1 for each queen bed and on opposite side of bed from nightstand- you had to crawl over the bed opposite your nightstand to turn it off and on. Overall excellent place and would happily stay again.

Room was spacious and clean , beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very modern. We were visiting Capitol Reef NP so we left early each morning and came home late after hiking. We were too tired to do much else! The coffee at 5:30 am was much appreciated. Dakota, at the front desk, made two stellar dinner recommendations as the hotel was not serving dinner. He also gave us a rollaway bed to replace the foldout sofa.

There was no security on the exterior door that was closest to our room. Dining facilities were closed for the season or we would have eaten dinner there at least one of the two nights.

The views were beautiful. The spa was not open for a couple of the days we were there. But we emailed them about it and they went out of their way to accommodate us on our anniversary day. That was way about what I would have expected from a hotel. Staff was all great and said hi when they seen you.

The only complaint I can think of which is not very bad is. No bathtub had standing wonderful shower bit no tub to soak after 15 to 20 mile hikes a day.

Red Sands Motel is a nice motel just a stone’s throw from Capital Reef National Park. We chose it because of its location and price. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The pool was especially nice with a hot tub, something not always found these days. The pool room, opened on one end, provided a wonderful view of the local scenery as did the adjacent patio and fire pit area.

The only bad things I can say about Red Sands are: (1) no complimentary breakfast is provided and (2) unlike the larger hotels, it doesn’t provide a room with 2 queens and a sofa bed to accommodate small families. Our family of 6 had to reserve two rooms which upped our budget.

close to Capitol Reef, nice and clean, spa on site, friendly staff, laundry, restaurant was small but wonderful and Frank was very friendly and full of jokes!

really nice hotel, I’d stay there again, but the town doesn’t really have anything else to offer! Food trucks down the street were best option for food

The views and property are amazing! They have a great outdoor exploring area behind the hotel with cows and horses next door. Russell at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. My kids had a blast in the pool. Close to everything we needed. Very clean and rooms were great! We loved staying here!
