October 2024

October is off season and we were able to stay at a discounted price. That said, we would pay more to return during ski season or summer at the higher rate. Our group had 2 adult couples and we stayed in a two bedroom cottage. The cottage is a 3 level home away from home with a fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. One bedroom is upstairs and has a bed, night stands and a dresser. The master bedroom - with an en suite bathroom is downstairs. The front door opens to a mud room with coat hooks and a place for boots. Next is a spacious living room, dining area (with dining table) and a second bathroom. The living room and master bathroom both have decks. Check out Mountain Dick's Pizza and the Provisions General Store while you're there!

The property was clean and well-kept. It is a nicely tucked away resort where families and friends can enjoy some peace and quite while having lots of fun. Basic amenities needed for a few days were provided in the cottages. On our first night, we enjoyed beautiful fireworks. We visited the pump house and enjoyed the water rides. We also went on the tram that took us to the jay peak mountain which is almost 4000 feet! This is not for the "faint-hearted" though. I got sick after the ride. I love that there is plenty parking space available and the staff are very friendly, and helpful!

We rented a one-bed cottage. The bedroom is situated in the basement which is sometimes hot as we visited in the summertime. A fan would be helpful in that space, if not an a/c unit. There is a fan in the living room, but on two occasions, we had to open all the doors to cool the space! Ventilation needs more work. It is also pricey. It cost us over $400 for two nights. A similar Airbnb costs about half! Finally, we didn't have much choices for food here. If we visit next time, we would cook our own food especially since the kitchenette is equipped enough.

The woman at the front desk was very nice. The room was quiet, clean and well-equipped (refrigerator and microwave). The Stateside Hotel is located at the base of the mountain so it's close to most activities. I enjoyed biking and hiked to the tram station at the top of the mountain. Beautiful views from the top.

Read the fine print. The price was listed as $99.00/night, but a $28.00 resort fee was added. I arrived at 12:00 noon and was told that check in began at 5:00pm! Fortunately, the very nice woman at the front desk told me my room was ready and I was able to check in immediately.

Size of resort, not too big, just big enough. Lodging - bedroom was large, bed comfortable. Nice to have a full kitchen.

Unable to get any response ahead of of time of our lodging property location, and sketchy reference to "some units are ski out", ours of course was not. No sidewalks, would have liked to walk to other area where friends were staying since parking more than 1 vehicle anywhere seemed unacceptable per signage and/or rental agreements. Design of Waterpark /arcade...ridiculous to come in from outside with muddy boots, then right to swim area, floor was disgusting. And why can't you get to arcade without going into the Waterpark? Arcade was way overpriced and prizes were mostly crap, worse than other arcades we've been to. I know not to expect much, but this one was ridiculous.

Me and my 2 kids (8 and 10) really loved the resort, we will definitely be back for a longer stay! The staff was outstanding, very friendly and accommodating. There was an error with one day of our pool passes due to a misunderstanding and they more than made up for it, excellent service! Everything was clean, it wasn't overcrowded, and my kids favorite part of the pool area was probably the "crazy" lazy river as we called it because of the waves ;-) My son's favorite thing to do was to take the cable car up to the mountain and climb on the rocks at the peak. We stayed in a cottage and it was beautiful. It had everything we needed.

I do have to say the resort is a bit pricey; you do have to pay extra for the pool (unless you book a package from their own website). But considering the value you get for it (beautiful mountain views, movie theatre for free, excellent service) I still give it 5 stars for value! The only other thing to consider is the location; the resort is only a few minutes away from the town, but it's a small town and if you want to get a late quick dinner from a fast food restaurant or something like that, it's 30 minutes away. They do have restaurants up there, but we didn't try them because we brought our own food since we were staying in a cottage. For us it wasn't a problem at all.

The kitchen was clean and contained most of what we needed to cook meals in. The balcony was lovely and we enjoyed the cool air in the morning out there. The main bed was very comfortable. Also enjoyed the playground that was completely fenced in on the side of the building!

No pot holders to pull out hot dishes from the oven. The pull out couch, though functional, had very little cushion left and you could feel the bars in your back.

The view was amazing, relaxing and the bon fire you had was a really nice touch.

It wasn't clear that we needed to purchase tickets to the Pump water house. I thought it was part of your hotel, further kre the tickets are expensive, as someone who paid $400 for 1 night I would have expected free passes or a heavily discounted ticket price for it.

The location was great! The rooms were comfortable! The lobby staff were very helpful with recommendations due to it being our first time there especially during off session. The option to do late check out was amazing must places charge for that.

The only thing I personally disliked was the temperature of the room. Seemed it couldn’t get cold enough the ac doesn’t stay fully on, or if it did it wasn’t cold enough. Woke up sweating. That could just be me. Other than that no complaints.

So many options for kids activities and places to dine, all affordable prices. My kids would choose Jay Peak weekends over Disney trips any day. I’ve only ever stayed at the Stateside Hotel which is well maintained, but you can tell A LOT of families and groups come through. Very clean but maybe the toilet paper holder is loose, or a faucet drips, or there’s a chip on the dresser. So many hockey teams and student groups use this hotel, but the friendly staff keep them mostly in check.

Only wish that the waterpark and clips and reels had earlier or later hours.

We loved the view, food was decent and not super pricey

Some of the places were not on the map, we had gotten different prices regarding Waterpark tickets some of the people with us the tickets were included with the room, some paid $20 and we were told $45. Bring your own pillows they give you ones that are hard as a rock and small. Ssve yourself $70 and make sure you bring sweatshirts the weather is unpredictable it rained most of the time we were there.
