As soon as you walk into the very unassuming building, our first thought was "Wow. I wished we had this is South Dakota!" Cute, roomy, microwave, fridge, spit-spot clean! Cute little notes from the staff give you a comfortable feeling. The store is very convenient and bags of ice are included with your room!!
It was close to the RR track, but the train does NOT blow its horn and the sound is more like white noise and somewhat relaxing. I wore ear plugs and slept like a baby in the comfortable bed with clean crisp sheets!

Glendo is a tiny town just off the freeway. Lodging is sparse and Howard's is a great old stand-by. Room was private. Nice to drive up to the door. TV, beds and towels-all good. Howard's was happy to accommodate my service K9.
Matresses seemed to have some age on them with some areas feeling like you were in a hole.

Close to gas station and highway.
Checking in at the gas station, never got any notice that I would need to do that, seemed sketchy, but not bad if I would have known

We always enjoy our stay here. It is conveniently located near a lake where family and friends are camping. This is our 3rd year in a row staying here.

Friendly owner, easy check in, convenient location near downtown Glendo and the Bullfrog Cafe, nice launchpoint to Glendo State Park, near the gas station for snacks
Proximity to the railroad tracks added some early morning noise, showerhead was a little low for a taller person, and the A/C was a little rickety

We have been traveling for 5 days & stayed in big motels the other nights. This cost the same but was cleaner, had a bigger room, & was quieter. Would stay here again in a heart beat.
The only thing that we didn't have was a box of Kleenex. Nothing else needed changing.

In an stretch with few options, it was great to find a motel available. I appreciated the frig & microwave located with a generous counter and sink.
The exterior and the parking lot do not give a good first impression, but the interior space was clean and worked well for me.

Towels were excellent. All we needed - was pleasantly relieved. Key pick up garage made it reliable for a late check in. Safe and easy to town. One mattress squeaked a lot in room number 3. Would stay again if not camping.
