spacious clean room, good firm mattress, we slept well. Good to have air conditioning.

wifi not working at times, this may have been the provider not the hotel though.

The staff were lovely. They have a beautiful restaurant on site, worth dining in.

It’s nice and relaxing but most the time I just wanted to blast my music cause I was on holiday, until I ask the staff if it was okay. They recommend to keep volume low so I’m not disturbing the other guest which was fair to say. Pool bar and restaurant need a new playlist, very old and classical. It is Vanuatu, it is the islands, a bit more up beat and life to the hotel will definitely bring in more guest. Nice for a stay but not for a revisit. Cockroaches in hotel every night we returned to our room. Figured if was much cheaper to book taxi privately then through the hotel, same drivers, same vehicles, safe as, no dramas! 1000V verse 150V

The staff was friendly and very helpful (*****) I cannot fault them. They went beyond expectations in organising transport, portering and seeing to our stay being comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and breakfast times catered for the early and the late birds - thank you. The restaurant itself served a variety of dishes so that we didn't have to venture into town if we didn't feel like it. Thank you The Melanesian, we will certainly re-book with you.

The whole site itself could do with fresh paint and general renovations, as it looked 'tired and flat', but we do understand that they had recently encountered damage by cyclones.

Walking distance to Port Vila town centre (approx 10 mins) Great for what we needed. I.e. just somewhere to sleep, not a place to just laze by pool resort style. Staff were all friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was OK(toast, cereal,, limited fruit) to get us going but needed more variety

Could do with general clean up as looking tired. Pool whilst appearing clean seemed to have an algae growth (possibly) on surface, so did not chance swimming in it.

Breakfast, room and dinner were excellent. My Kids really enjoy the stay, relaxing before going back to school. Highly recommend also because of the location, close to the CBD, shops, easy to catch public transports (bus & taxis). The Melanesian is very convenient and secured for families. The staffs are very friendly and always welcoming, very good customer service indeed!

Great location, just a 5 minute drive to downtown Port Vila. Friendly staff, basic but yummy breakfast, comfortable room with great aircon.

Unfortunately the wifi did not work at all during our trip. We had to ask each day for a new wifi code, however we could connect to it and it just wouldn’t work. We ended up using our mobile data instead.

Warming and attentive people . Location was very good for me. The room had everything necessary and in very good conditions.

Breakfast is somewhat limited but good. The soup they serve is good . Internet access is weak. Gave up and relied on purchased mobile data.

The staff were so friendly, accommodating and helpful. Room service food was delicious and quick. The attached restaurant was very yummy! Close to other restaurants and the Main Street.

The bed was very stiff. We stayed for 5 nights. It was okay for the first 2 nights but after that found the bed more and more uncomfortable!

Breakfast was good and room comfortable. Did not have dinner there but elsewhere. Wifi was great but had to get a replacement wifi voucher once it finished.

Having to change the wifi voucher from now and again and prefer if wifi could just be provided unlimited during duration of stay.

Overall good & comfortable hotel with great staff & location. Breakfast was good however when you staying for couple of days then it becomes boring to have same option daily. Maybe they can consider little bit of variation on a weekly basis. Good wifi
