We spent three days in Hanoi, and had originally booked a hotel in the old Quarter. However, on the first night we didn’t get a wink of sleep because it is so noisy there. So on the second day we rebooked at lotte hotel and couldn’t have been happier with our entire experience. It is a beautiful clean modern hotel, with really great staff. The pool and hot tub were amazing. Whole hotel is very quiet. Really nice doorman. There’s a supermarket downstairs, as well as a whole department store and lots of restaurants. It took us about 15 minutes in a grab to the old quarter when we wanted to visit. If we come back to Hanoi, we will definitely be staying here again. A beautiful luxurious hotel.

Everything was perfect. There was nothing I didn’t like.

Clean and spacious room. The facilities such as the gym, jacuzzi and the pool were all very good and updated. Buffet breakfast was amazing, so many options and the taste was scrumptious. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, putting in a lot of efforts to accommodate our requests.

Evening lounge staff was a downgrade from the rest of the staff. They had cold and somewhat disrespectful attitude towards Vietnamese guests in comparison to foreigners. Some were gossiping while working and refused to clean the dirty dishes or replaced our dirty utensils until we had to tell them personally, and they did it as if they didn’t want to. Very disappointed as the rest of the staff was very nice throughout our stay.

Our room was on the 52nd floor. The view was insane. The toilets were large and airy with a good sized bathtub and a large shower.

A little bit away from most things and there isnt a lot of local food choices around the hotel. The spa is seriously pricey.

Excellent hotel, staff is very friendly and welcoming and willing to go extra mile for a customer. Very good restaurants and bars, in particular the grill and dim sum ones and the roof top bar as well as the one with live music

Longer breakfast hours would be better as now breakfast is until 10 am only. Also would be good if lobby bar opened earlier for those who just want a quick snack as opposed to a full breakfast. Now it opens at 8 am. Beds in other Lotte hotels I’ve been to were bigger but still are of decent size/comfortable.

Comfortable rooms, many restaurant selection and a sits on top of a mall with variety of needs you can get.

Employees who are in inept in handling guests. Showing smiling face but only as an act, the hotel did nothing for our convenience and whenever we asked for something easy to answer they didnt show much effort, they dismissed us. Also location is far for sightseing tours keep in mind it takes like 25 min to get to a meeting point for out of city tours.

Location is not the best.. but you already know that going in.. so that's really not a negative. The tour desk could be MUCH better. Just selling a set menu of a few private tours at obscene prices does not make a good tour desk. It would be good to have a lot more choices.. and the desk is there to help you get the best of the city and not just make money. If the run of the mill tour costs 40$ for the day.. per person.. And your tour costs 400$ per person per day... you should get your act together.. I am not saying you will not have an audience for that obsenely priced private tour... But... Just Cater for the remaining 80%.. That's all that I am saying....

We had the privilege of staying at this hotel on 2 occasions on our trip. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Hanoi well away from the noisy old quarters of the city.Its the tallest hotel located next to the lotte shopping mall and only about 20 minutes from the old quarters by taxi. Grab costs under £3.00 each way.We were allocated our room on 52nd floor. Wonderful views of the city and lakes especially at night time when the whole city is lit up. Sightseeing places are near by. Breakfast is served on the 63rd floor with great views and so much variety of items to choose from. The club lounge is located on the 59th floor serving afternoon tea/ snacks and canapé and all kind of drinks and spirits.Pay a little bit extra to enjoy the privileges of amazing club facilities. The hotel has two swimming pools, indoor and outdoors. The indoor pool also has jacuzzi pool with warm water and a lot of bubble pressure enough to lift you off and give good massage. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. They really looked after us and it was so nice to chat to them individually.My wife is vegetarian and she was well catered for as soon as the staff were made aware of her requirements.Thank you Lotte was making our stay very special and hope to see you again. The hotel is a class act. Truly a 5 star hotel that provides excellent room service. Great quality food and features a grocery store/mall/bar and multiple restaurants all within the same building. I stayed here the last couple nights of my 2 week stay in Vietnam to wind down and relax. I will definitely be back.

I have no complaints about the property. We loved this hotel. We stayed at multiple 4 star and 5 star hotels and this place was the cream of the crop.

Spacious room. Greeted with warmth. Check in and check out was great! Throughout our stay the concierge was really helpful. We went during the tet holidays and concierge did that part to suggest and provide advice. Location wise it’s a bit far from old quarter (where most things are) but you could still find decent eateries around such as Pizza 4Ps Rooms are really comfortable for the price paid no complains. Room service was decent as well. But hotel’s food is okay. I do recommend to go around to explore for food.

Stayed a further nite. Not quite a 5star experience with a number minor hardware and software shortcomings. But Bac (or Bobby) at the ground floor concierge was a refreshing exception. When we approached him for help, he was assuring, informative and proactive. He’s a very intelligent young man. Excellent for the hospitality industry. Housekeeping also did an excellent job. Overall a comfortable stay overall, short of a 5star stay.

A few staff in the front office other than the excellent Bobby need to know their purpose in the hospitality industry. They did not do anything very wrong, but they did not live up to the hospitality trade either.
