NH Collection Buenos Aires Crillón

We spent 12 days in total in 4 visits in hotel Crillon during February 2024. In fact, I used it as our base for visiting Argentina (south and north) leaving part of our luggage there during our trips. We had some difficulties with flights and the hotel helped a lot. The reception of the hotel is extremely good and professional. Anibal and Antonio, the senior receptionists are great and the others also very good. Kind, helpful and efficient. I will recommend this hotel to everybody in my family and friends. Great place to visit Buenos Aires and use it as base to visit Argentina.

Location, location, location. Close to Galerias Pacífico and not too far from Puerto Madero and right in front of a subway station. Great area with plenty of restaurants. Hotel itself is an old building but the renovations were fine. Nespresso machine with free coffee, decent sized mini fridge, good shower and all amenities are available upon request, including ironing board, power adapters, mobile chargers. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The cheaper rooms are tiny and dark, facing the back of the neighbour building. Bathroom sink is pretty small and leaks into the floor.

The Breakfast was outstanding. Huluen the concierge was amazing a huge asset to your business. She went above and beyond her own job to make out situation work. Thank you again.

Alan on the front desk when we checked in was unhelpful and completely dismissive. Every question was no. My husband was sick, it was early as we had flown all night, 11am. He response was ‘check in is 3.’ No empathy at all. We had also booked the following 2 nights, asked to stay in the same room? NO. Hulien came to the rescue, made our situation work.

- Cleanliness - Location

- First room very small, then I was changed to a bigger room (because the light of my room stopped working all of the sudden) - Breakfast was not included in my reservation, I asked during check in to include it. When I checked out they said that only one day was included, but that it was ok for the other days. When I finished check out, I wanted to go have breakfast and they said that I have to pay (when 30 seconds before they said it was ok because of their own mistake). I found that very uncomfortable and rude

We have been many times in this hotel, and we came back after pandemic years; it was a pleasure to see that it continues being a good place to stay. So I just copy my review from some years ago… Location is superb! From some rooms and from restaurant one overlooks a plaza with blooming trees in spring, and it is convenient for most public transportation or main attractions. The staff is extremely helpful and efficient, making you feel really welcome. Facilities are good, comfortable beds, and rooms of different sizes are available. Breakfast buffet is good and generous. All one needs in a gentle and warmer environment than huge impersonal hotels!

Location of the hotel was very good

room was small, though we were assigned a silent room that was a prioriety for us. Breakfast was good but too expensive, we decided to go a Dandy next door of the hotel who offered a very good breakfast for a third of the cost. Elevators were very small and outdated, during our stay one of them had problems. The hotel facilities seem outdated and a little run down

The location was excellent - across from Plaza San Martin, a very attractive park with good transit connections. It was a very short walk to Florida, a major pedestrian shopping street and the grand mansion, Palacio Paz . The hotel presented very well in the lobby and bar area on the main floor. The second floor hosted a luxurious buffet breakfast with a huge selection of hot and cold items and an absolutely opulent selection of pastries. Lovely views of the park from the window seats. The staff spoke very competent English and were pleasant and helpful in providing directions, calling cabs, storing luggage, etc.

My wife and I favour economy in rooms and indulgence in dining, so our room, I'm sure, was at the lower end of the scale. However. with a king-sized bed, it was very tight with a minimum of storage space. OK for one or two nights, but a week's stay would call for a larger room. Oh, and the in-room fridge didn't work, so some leftovers we stashed didn't last long. The bathroom was clean and all the appropriate bits -including the bidet worked well.

It was perfectly located. The staff was incredibly helpful when finding things to do near by. It was the perfect place to go back to and reset after a long day exploring the city. A plus is it is also located near a metro line :)

The room itself was a little loud- no fault of the hotel. The room had a lot of windows which was great but it let in a lot of noise- so be prepared for a little noise saturation at night. No other additional comments

The staff were great. They were very helpful and kept our luggage very well even when we went for a few days out of town. We chose to stay twice here during our trip. The breakfast was wonderful and they made us custom omlettes. The room was really good with the first stay being better than the other. 2nd stay was same type of room but one floor up and somehow it was not as nice as the other room. It is a bit noisy being right on the street but it didn't bother us too much. Make sure the windows are shut well. The view was great and location convenient

The room was the usual size, comparable to many chains with the minimum amount of space. The bathroom was extremely small, but very clean and had everything one would need. The room was very clean and cleaned very well. Most of the staff on reception were extremely helpful. The breakfast has to be the best I had in Argentina and it was beautifully laid out and also catered to most dietary requirements. It was impressive.
