Las Hayas Ushuaia Resort

My partner and I had an amazing time at Las Hayas. The resort was simply amazing! Both people, facilities, and services were top line. The staff was super friendly, approachable, and helpful. You can tell they really strive to make you feel welcome and comfortable and deliver a great service. They helped us call taxis, recommended places to visit, coordinated trips and activities to do, and even borrowed trekking sticks that came in handy. The Spa was great. We went every day, to enjoy a combination of the outdoor jacuzzi, indoor jacuzzi, climatized pool, and dry sauna. We didn't get to try the massage. The resort has a gym that is well equipped. The buffet breakfast is very generous and has a large variety of things to try. The restaurant had a delicious menu, and affordable prices for the quality of food you get. The room was of a good size. The bed was very very comfortable (I loved the pillows too!). Our room had a great view over the city and sea. Room service came every day to clean, vacuum, make the bed, and change towels (if you want to) and bathroom products. They’ve also left a brand new 2L water bottle every day for us to drink, as the running water is sourced from natural meltwater (water that comes from ice and glaciers on the top of the mountains) which is good for sustainability perspective, but not recommended for human consumption. In summary, we had an absolutely great experience at Las Hayas and we recommend it 100%!

The only thing I'd say is that on our last night at the restaurant, the staff was a bit overloaded because the place was packed. They forgot to bring us the drink menu after I asked for it, as well as the dessert menu. But this is a small nit.

The service and the food were excellent. The staff was very attentive. The food was great at both the bar and Le Martial restaurant. The spa was clean and well maintained. Very peaceful.

The issue with paying when we left was AWFUL. I was lucky I had enough Argentinian Pesos. I wanted to pay in US$ cash and then they wanted to charge me at the Banc Nacional rate (AR$/US$) which would have DOUBLED the cost of the stay in terms of US$. That is outright robbery. I know full well that if I give them US$ cash, they do not convert that to pesos at the bank rate.

Room and bathroom were a great size and had windows that opened allowing fresh air. Comfortable beds. Outlook was amazing. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. Staff were very helpful. Close to town taxis were readily available and cheap.

Gym and sauna were not open until 10am. Espresso coffee and breakfast was not nice - just have the free filter! Only 1l water provided in the room which was not enough as were were requested to not drink water from the tap.

The view from the room was excellent. You can see the entire bay of Ushuaia. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is great and the room is so clean and comfortable. I highly recommend the archery activity. the teachers are excellent.

The spa and swimming pool are great but It didn't have any view. I would like the Hiroki Minipiscina Japonesa with view to the bay!

Hotel is comfortable and staff are helpful. The manager, Mariela, helped us immensely when travel was shutdown by a strike by extending our stay. Nice restaurant , bar, and spa.

the location is up a big hill out of central Ushuaia . It offers a lovely view, but requires taxi to get to and fro. the rooms were adequate, but need updating

The vies are amazing, spa zone and breakfast are exceptional.

You should take into consideration that the hotel is not in the city center. There’s a shuttle, but in order to use it you should be a bit earlier for departure since the number of seats is limited. However, the taxies are not so expensive.

Staff was very helpful from the booking to the checkout. I had asked for specific arangment for my partners birthday and they did everything and gave me Good advice. During our stay we had a little issue that once again the staff was super helpful and understanding with. The public spaces are well refurbished and the spa area is really great! The location is also very nice up hill with a beautiful view on the bay.

Bedrooms are a bit old and need a good refresh. I’ve heard that it is ongoing. We found the prices for food at the restaurant a bit high for what you get. Quality didn’t meet our expectations.

Likely the nicest hotel in Ushuaia. Was clean and people were super nice. Restaurant and breakfast area were very nice. Nice touch was they had an activity for each day

Location is nearer the glacier but you can’t walk to town. Not a dislike but people need to be aware which we were

Overall nice hotel on a good location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and the main areas are updated. They also had had good food, a nice spa and a free shuttle to and from the center of town.

The rooms are very outdated. It could use a refresh.

We had a beautiful view of the mountains to the east. Breakfast was fantastic. Easy parking since we rented a car. Room was spacious and quite comfortable

The room was way too warm when we arrived! Had to have window open all night. Left window open the next day when we went out, but the maids closed it. Not happy about that.
