The Coast Motel

For a last minute booking it was a great location. The bed was comfortable. We we're put up in a wheelchair accessable room, which made it feel very spacious. However I did wonder how someone in the wheel chair could reach the cups etc.

Nothing about the hotel, just the fact we drove around and around trying to locate it. The address gives the Scenic Highway where as the hotel is on a back road, not visible from the Highway, nor was there any signage indicating the hotel. We just decided to go down a back st. to the Tavern we could see to ask and there was the hotel next door.

The hotel is modern and has large airy rooms with a balcony, smart tv, undercover parking and a microwave. My room had a good work desk, small table and two chairs and two lounge chairs. It's adjacent to a tavern and a busy road. My room opened out to the bottle shop drive through and was about 50 metres from the busy arterial road, yet I heard no noise from these. Good soundproofing obviously. It's also less than 3 kms from the main business area of Yeppoon. Good value for money.

Michael was brilliant. He spotted I had mobility issues, so he helped me to reception, then to my room and brought my luggage. Both Michael and his wife mintored my welfare and offered additional assisstance. They both had a great sense of humour.. Whilst my mobilty issues limited my enjoyment of Yeppoon, their friendliness , support and character (along with Sarah the barmaid at the adjacent Capticorn Tavern) more than compensated.

Beautiful space, clean and tidy. Very comfortable bed. Had complimentary water the first night of my stay. Lovely pool with a good shallow area for the kids to have a swim in. Breakfast was available which was handy and lovely service. Tavern next door with lovely food as well for evening meal. I will definitely be staying there again if I come back to the area with the kiddies!

Everything was great and the fact the Capricorn tavern was on the same sites was so convenient and the pool was so much bigger then a normal pool They had a problem with the plumbing but they let everyone know it was getting fixed and there wouldn't be any water for the day but it didn't matter cause we spent the day at great keppel

Very close to beautiful spots like the Yeppoon lagoon, Keppel Sailing club, Keppel Kraken, Fan Rock lookout, etc.The motel is managed by its owners Michael & Julie who are very friendly. They give good advice and info on how to access the attractions in Yeppoon. The cost of lodging is very competitive, ample parking spaces on the ground floor. Julie also cooks a great breakfast. Just a stone's throw away from the Tavern where lunch, dinner and bar are available.

No lift on site. But this is easily offset by its competitive price.

Very comfortable spacious room. Lovely large bathroom. Beautiful pool area with plenty of seating and a BBQ. Washer and dryer (pay). Friendly helpful staff Easy access to all the tourist attractions.

The only thing it is hard to find . It’s not actually in Yeppoon and GPS is useless . Tucked in behind a Tavern they need signage on the corner . Once found a lovely place to stay.

Room was extra large with a spacious ensuite. Clean and very comfortable. Quite location - even though the motel is situated next to a tavern, we did not hear any noise. Meals are available at the tavern. Not a lot around within a short walking distance but that did not bother us as we had a car. Friendly staff and plenty of onsite parking. Carpark is on ground level, underneath the building and rooms are on the first floor accessible via stairs. Would highly recommend staying here.

The bed was comfortable. The room had plenty of space. Really nice A/C unit. Good Wifi. Smart TV provided.

I didn’t like when I turned on any of the lights in the room that they would flash for 5 seconds before staying on. If they replaced the lights with LED lighting then this wouldn’t be an issue.

Location was great for the reasons we travelled to the area. The tavern across the road from the accommodation was handy and had good pub food - clean and inviting.

The limited number of towels for the number of people staying, the use of the manual key to access the room, but the swipe card to enter the floor. Just make the access swipe card only and it would be awesome.
