Loxton Community Hotel Motel

Hotel/Motel was very clean and tidy. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and tidy with no scratches on the furniture nor marks or tears on the carpet. Bathroom was very clean and well maintained. The hotel has a good size bistro, gaming room and a great cafeteria as well. The only downside was the noise (music) which seemed to go until very late at night and started early in the morning. We found that a bit off-putting and no doubt people who are looking to get an early night after a long trip would find it unpleasant as well. That was our only criticism, other than that we really enjoyed our stay and the town as a whole.

It was a central location. The room was quiet and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean.

Toilet did not flush well. Had to push button multiple times to regulate water...it would run continuously otherwise. There was a 'toilet' smell in our room....having the air conditioning on and the exhaust fan on in the bathroom helped. We understood it was an internal room and so didn't have an open window however, was a little disappointing because this wasn't openly disclosed to us when first booked. Upon checkout, we weren't asked if our stay was ok. All quiet when I paid for our drinks had the previous night at the bar. We very much appreciated the hospitality given, comfy bed, good location and safe parking.

Cleanliness. Easy to access. Hotel's Coffee shop. Comfy beds. Good facilities.

Something kept banging on the roof during those strong winds. Not necessarily our roof but on one of the unit rooves. We had a blocked toilet but couldn't get anyone to answer the phone or find anyone at the hotel.( It was Xmas Day) We managed to unblock it after getting hold of plunger and hose ourselves.

Room was clean and tidy and had everything I could possibly need. Restaurant was fantastic and so was the food, exceptional service by stafff they were happy and friendly. Reservation Team were also excellent, with all the last minute things I needed to add for the trip. Thoroughly Recommend.

My only issue on the day I left was I had ordered a coffee and they had no lids for the take away coffees, Someone went off the find some, Whilst I had no issues with this, possibly before you commence serving customers for the day you ensure you have everything needed.

The book in & out experience was exceptional.

There seemed to be not enough staff in the meal areas to accommodate guests. We waited for 15 minutes in the sports bar for a staff member to appear. And waited over an hour for our breakfast delivery in the front cafe area. The same issue was noted for other guests. While waiting we had to go back up to the room to empty for check out & returned to breakfast which had been delivered in my absence. The meal was lovely when arrived.

This hotel is good value for money and we love the fact that it is a community hotel and profits benefit the community Bistro is very modern well run and good is good . You have a choice of accomodation according to what you want to pay .

Bed mattress was soft and bouncy Music from Bistro could strangely be heard on first floor in rooms out the back It kept us from Going to bed until 9.30pm Very annoying indeed

We had a big and comfortable room, with good facilities as well, in Garden area as requested. Also the Hotel is in a great location, with some Rooms overlooking the beautiful riverfront, which I would request next time.

Big disappointment, as heard the food is great at Loxton Hotel, but Chefs had Covid and no meals at all were available at the Hotel :( Also our rooms were at the end of block and no view much of the Gardenview area which I was upset about and couldn't change as the Hotel was booked out with an event happening in the Town.

Stayed in an upstairs river view room. Room was very comfortable and quite spacious with a king sized bed, sofa bed, table and two chairs and work desk. Reasonably priced mini bar. Renovations have been done well. The view, particularly during this period of flood, is fantastic.

Toilet paper dispenser - not easy to get paper out without ripping sheets. Seemed cheap and not consistent with the rest of the facilities.

Obviously close to all facilities. Room comfortable. We were disappointed that we could not dine at the Hotel which looked very nice. Beyond control of the Hotel management was the Covid issue. Receiving advice of the Covid issue before leaving Adelaide was good.

Toilet paper quality in the accomodation was disgusting. (may be due to Common Effluent requirements in the Town ???) Didn't see a Maintenence Book in the Room but I think that would be useful for the Hotel management.

The room was a good size and looked new. Bed was large and comfortable. The room was close to the hotel and the pool. We enjoyed our meal at the dining room. Free parking right next to our room was a bonus. The complimentary biscuits were from a local business, home made and delicious.

The cleaner had left long dark hair on the bathroom floor and even on the toilet cistern. The two bottles of wine in the mini bar, one red and one white, were from McLaren Vale. Since the Riverland is a wine region I felt this was a missed opportunity to work with a local winery and have local wines in the mini bar.
