Oaks Melbourne on Lonsdale Suites

Very walkable to most attractions with the aid of the free tram zone. Comfortable bed, spacious apartment. Quiet.

unfortunately only one lift is operating due to maintenance of the other which made wait times very long. okay if you can manage stairs. Shower ran hot and cold every 5 seconds.

Great view and position. Easy walk to most places.

They are down to a single elevator for the next 6 months which makes getting to and from your room time consuming at peak times.

Good accommodation and location, plenty of room and good kitchen facilities.

TV was a very small for the size of the living space.

Location excellent, view from south facing high room excellent, and it was great to have balconies and a living space separate to bedrooms for our longer stay. No housekeeping selected but we were able to swap out towels, and get extra amenities as required. Beds are VERY comfortable. Really handy to have the washer/dryer. Pretty clean. Quiet for Melbourne (except for an ‘elephant’ on the floor above for part of our stay). Great stay.

On the very hot days the air-conditioning from the main living space barely reaches the bedrooms. The main bedroom needs its own unit. I don’t usually use the TV but as the Aust Open tennis was on (our reason for visit) we wanted to use it - however the small TV needs an upgrade - it only had to free to air channels - considering how cheap smart TV’s are now an upgrade wouldn’t cost much.

Location was where we wanted to be , so 1/ location good , 2/ close to attractions on our list , 3/free public transportation was close by, IGA food shopping was 30 steps from the front door with all food and alcohol supplies , this was fantastic as you are almost home before you top up your fridge

Elevator ,site has 2 , but was under renovation ,although no work was noticed during our stay ,morning lift time took up to 10 min as it went to the 20th floor then came down picking up those on lower floors ,not much room if they where checking out with bags

The location, ambience, facilities and comfort are excellent. Staff are friendly and efficient. Wifi is very good, but beware security risk. City views from balcony are a delight. Fantastic for self-catering stay, close to theatres, Fitzroy Gardens, cathedral, transport. Central location and parking make it near perfect.

Cleaners do a great job if you have daily housekeeping, but kitchen floor may need a bit of a clean up when you begin your stay. Some paper towels, detergent and liquid hand soap come in useful, although a good cleaning cloth is provided by the hotel with dishwasher sachets, scourer and all bathroom needs. It's really pretty good, no complaints!

A fantastic room with a spectacular city to Dandenongs view, all conveniences that could be wished for, beautiful night's sleep on a superbly comfortable bed looking out at a great night view. Location is the best in Melbourne, overlooking Spring Street and close to St Patrick's and Fitzroy Gardens. Parking was tight but very useful and efficient. The room has a fantastic ambience that really couldn't be better.

One lift wasn't working, and was apparently out-of-order the day before I arrived. This meant very long waits at peak hours and overcrowded lifts that were in some cases illegally overcrowded. The cleaning was mixed, sometimes very good but at other times pretty basic and ordinary. Kitchen floor was dirty on arrival, bed-making needs attention. There were two TV's which was great, but one had a remote that did not turn on or off, so had to use the main power switch to work this.

They had no rooms that we booked left so they upgraded us to a larger room with no extra charges which was a lovely surprise! The view + location is absolutely amazing too. We were given dishwasher liquid/washing machine powder/shampoo/conditioner/bodywash/lotion and it's super handy not having to buy all those on a short stay.

The key card sometimes took a few tries to work and we had to get one replaced. This didn't pose much of an issue but it definitely has potential too. really great hotel and no complaints. One of the lifts was being renovated while we stayed so it got a little crowded but i don't hold that against them at all.

Our 2 bedroom suite with 2 balconies provided us with a view that was absolutely beautiful. Our suite was warm, welcoming & spacious with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Beds & pillows were very comfy, shower was hot and heater warmed all rooms. Kitchen had everything you needed and bathroom included consealed washer & dryer.

Although acceptable, the cleanliness was not up to standard for such a lovely suite. The bathroom cupboard doors and door jams needed a clean as something unpleasant had been spilt down them. There was also dust in corners and hand prints on windows. Aircon needed a clean.

Overall with the stay, value for money Second to none. Located in the more quiet section of CBD, very well located and convenient for everything. The room has great amenities, very comfortable bedroom and large balcony with great views. Parking is convenient also. Satisfied with the stay, well priced. 24 hour Reception team are very helpful & made the check in and out very easy. Thank you for the team @ Oaks Lonsdale again.

Features which could be improved, overall cleaning was fairly average could be improved. Appliances and overall apartment is dated FYI, but is overall useful & well maintained. No pool/gym for guests is quite odd but again would be an great addition very odd they didn’t have an pool. Overall the hotel meets great standards and was fairly satisfied.
