Discovery Parks - Pilbara, Karratha

The cabin was spotlessly clean. The air conditioning had been turned on prior to my arrival so the room was lovely and cool. The park is very tidy and user friendly.

A little too much light from the windows at night. One window blind needs to be turned around so that it unfurls against the window rather than over the roll. The other blind was against the window and worked well. There wasn't a full compliment of cutlery, only 1 fork and one teaspoon. Ok for me travelling on my own but not enough for a couple.

Location near everything. Takeaway, IGA and fuel nearby. Has a pool to cool down. Friendly, helpful staff. Reasonably priced.

Old room, old aircon which was very noisy. Hotplate starter didn't work, had to get one from office as don't smoke and have a lighter. They had them so all good. Couldn't connect my laptop to the wifi but may have been my security on the laptop.

Everything about the unit we stayed in #97 And the easy of picking our key up after hours. The staff I spoke to on the phone were very helpful. When reporting to the office the staff member lady in front office was so helpful and gave us some good tops on where to go in and around Karratha. Plus very friendly and a pleasure to deal with .. Thank you for making our flying visit so much easier with a nice place to stay and great service 😀

Location and cleanliness were great. Size was comfortable for a night or so stay. Plenty of space for the family.

If I'm being picky, I'd say the lounge furniture could be more comfortable. Not very comfortable to "lounge" on. Other than that, small upgrades to the shower head and some aesthetics would make it perfect.

Good-sized cabins, and comfortable beds

There were so many people smoking on the balconies of neighbouring cabins that it made it unpleasant to sit outside. The kids' playground also really needs a shade cover!

I liked that visitors can park their cars right outside of their cabin so it’s close and convenient. it’s very family friendly and it has its own pool that’s much more relaxing than most, especially for families.

The door knobs are incredibly flimsy so you can jingle around for long enough with the door locked, it will slowly flip the lock to unlock the door. The bed wasn’t the best.

The check-in, although one of our women did not like the receptionist's welcome.

Pool edge needs cleaning. The fact that no-one around early in the morning for help. We tried to find someone to re-open my room after I inadvertently locked it before retrieving my flask of tea. No one there until 10am. Unacceptable.

Good location for sunset walk, clean, great pool area, nice BBQ areas with fairy lights. Deluxe superior cabin was big with good kitchen area. Easy to navigate around grounds

Cutlery and plates didn't match number of people in cabin. More pillows/linen needed for cold nights.

the floors where dirty. I walked barefoot only in the unit and my feet were black. very poor reception with Wi-Fi

From the time we arrived until we left, the staff and facilities were fantastic. The cabin was comfortable and clean. The park in general was kept clean and tidy and the pool was a welcome relief even in the middle of winter. Plenty of free BBQs and camp kitchen spaces. Laundry facilities and ablution blocks appeared to be very clean too. Even a 'depot' for recycling plactic bottles and aluminium cans.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like.
