Hyatt Regency Perth

The staff are great! Very professional at concierge albeit somewhat formal (which is expected). I found wait staff, chefs, housekeeping were all exceptional and very willing to help - hands down the best place I’ve been to in this respect! The breakfast is PHENOMENAL. Caters for a broad range of tastes and dietary requirements! (I especially loved being able to have veggies, dumplings and congee as well as the usual hot breakfast items)….. I frequently saw staff cleaning high touch surfaces such as lift buttons, doors etc. it’s the first place I’ve seen that’s actually continued to overtly demonstrate commitment to enhanced hygiene. Some of the rooms are older - but they are SPOTLESS.

The only thing I’d say is there are renovation/construction areas - the point is, it’s part of maintaining and upgrading the hotel! If you’re after a place to sleep during the daytime (which some of my travel does involve) it might not be suited to you. One other thing to watch - sometimes you won’t be able to swipe into your room if you’re approaching checkout time at 11am (I also need to take better note of my time)

We stayed here for a break over Christmas and New Year. For us, the location was great because it was central to all the things we wanted to see in and around Perth. Our room was quite spacious and had plenty of room for us to spread out. The bathroom was a good size and included a bath which I really like. The pool and pool bar was great. A really good sized pool with plenty of seating and cabanas around. During the busy period it is worthwhile heading down early if you want a cabana. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, good options for the food and drink and generally plenty of seating. We had a particular table that we liked and, given we were there for just over a week, we asked if we could reserve it at the same time each morning. One of the restaurant hosts was terrific and she always reserved it. The other didn’t and always gave us lame excuses about why she hadn’t reserved it for us. This was quite irritating especially as one morning we actually had difficulty getting a table and had to wait for availability.

There was some construction work going on in the hotel itself. It also only had one restaurant option which I was disappointed about. Most Hyatts I’ve stayed in have at least two and sometimes more. The bar was pretty basic and in the middle of the lobby. Some of the furniture was quite dated. Parking was a little painful in the structure next door and not all that easy to find your way out of but it was okay once we’d worked it out. It would have been nice to have a proper valet service but the staff didn’t seem keen to park and retrieve our car.

Comfortable room. Well decorated and furnished. Good quality bed linens. A nice place to come back to after busy days sightseeing. I liked the hotel interior, very light and airy. Decorated for xmas, very welcoming. New carpets everywhere - very nice. Breakfast had a good selection. We used the free city CAT buses to travel around the city and back to the hotel as it was a bit of a trek on hot day - you just need to work out their routes and where the stops are.

Bar closed very early and wouldn't serve us even though we returned to the hotel a minute before closing time.

The Bed was very comfortable, also had very good-sized room. Plenty of linen to use while staying here. The room was very clean and had a great view with the river side. The location and ease of finding the hotel was very good.

The bath and shower in one not a fan and it leaked water when using it. Some of the lighting was out and not operating which was difficult of a night time but not a huge problem. The renovations that were going on did intrude the view out but was notified about the work being done.

The staff were friendly, the pool area was very relaxing and the room was large and clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. Lovely view of the pool and river. The bottle of wine and dessert on arrival to celebrate our anniversary were a beautiful touch. Overall, great value.

The food was average when compared with other hotel stays. The chairs and tables available in the lobby could definitely do with an update. Not the most comfortable to sit in, which is a shame, as that area is lovely next to the fountain. With all the developments in Perth now (Elizabeth Quay, Hibernian Place etc) the walk from the hotel is a decent 15-25 minutes.

The first time I stayed I wasn’t entirely sure how I felt but honestly, I’ve returned several times now because the service, cleanliness and standard of care is excellent! Breakfast is hands down the best I’ve had consistently of anywhere I’ve stayed! I also asked for a quieter room if possible and other than a couple of people briefly striking up conversation near the room when I first arrived it was fab. I also really enjoyed having some lovely teas, and I had the luck of an upgraded room with a river view! The cleanliness of the whole place is top notch - even though the room has an older bathroom it’s obvious it’s kept very tidy. Ongoing works weren’t disruptive either despite one floor having builders film in place to contain dust/debris.

Good sized room with a comfy bed. It's close to the city and river. Bar food was good, but I didn't use the cafe/restaurant so cannot report on that.

Pillows were a bit too big and there was no choice to swap them around. Could hear noises from the atrium and other rooms, but it wasn't overwhelming. Bar staff were a bit uninterested in their customers. Getting out of the carpark was not easy. I'm not sure if I didn't listen to all the instructions about how to use my parking voucher at the gate, but it turns out there are two gates and I had a queue behind me at each one while I tried to work out what to do. Had to use the help button in the end and wait a long time until someone answered.

Very clean and comfortable room. Belle at reception was very welcoming, helpful and professional. Belle went above and beyond to make our stay not only comfortable but memorable as well. Andre from room service is a great person, friendly and very accomodating. We enjoyed our little chats with him. Needles to say we will be back to the hyatt next time we're in Perth

A couple of people that seems to be hanging around just outside of the hotel that keeps asking for a spare cigarettes or changes. I supposed it's not the hotel's problem but it did made us feels a bit wary.

The staff are very lovely!👌 Samantha the red head on front desk is a prime example of excellent customer service👌and oml the buffet breakfast is absolutely 💯 loved it!👌 would really benefit having a buffet dinner aswel👌👌 We also had the club lounge service, which is on level (8). Its a mini buffet during the day and the main buffet runs from 5pm-7pm with beer wine & spirits included with the food all on level 8👌 cost extra. You can also use uber for outside meals cos the main meals are pretty pricey. Also if your vehicle is higher then 2m you can park velvet at the front entrance cost ya 30per day or street parking. There is also alot of art pieces to look at on the same level as gym & swimming pool👌 Really enjoyed our stay.

We loved everything

The room was a large king-sized room. The bed was super comfortable and offered a wonderful night's sleep. The reception staff were quite responsive and accommodating after we learned we were arriving earlier than expected. Our room was ready to be checked in before the standard check-in times. We were also offered a breakfast option, which we took at check-in. The breakfast was an international buffet style and quite a delicious start to the morning.

The downlights in the bathroom flickered a bit, and that could be due to the renovations the hotel were undergoing at the time of our stay.
