Hotel Het Gheestelic Hof by CW Hotel Collection

First of all, the hotel is in the centre of Bruges, but just far enough that is doesn’t bother you in the evening! The layout of the hotel is lovely and homely. The check-in is small, but serves its purpose. The breakfast room is cozy and breakfast itself was very well catered for. There was cereal, fresh croissants, pain au chocolat, donuts, muffins, all sorts of cheeses and meats, yoghurts and lots of other stuff! The room was very nice. We had room 107 on the first floor (there is no lift, but there are some rooms on the ground floor if you can’t use stairs), which was very nicely decorated with a lit up picture of Charles Aznavour in the headboard. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of cushions. There was even a little sitting area with two chairs and a table in front of the window. There are no coffee making facilities in the room, but you can get coffee and tea from the breakfast room whenever you please. The fans were a nice touch as well, as it got pretty warm in the room. The bathroom is nicely decorated as well, with a shower. Not massive, but big enough. All in all we had an amazing stay and will recommend it to everybody going to Bruges!

The only fault we could find was that there was no shelf inside the shower to put any shower gel or shampoo on.

Everything about the hotel was wonderful. The hotel was near the center but out of the fray, sparkling clean, inviting, tastefully decorated, and had a beautiful outdoor sitting area. The staff were lovely. Breakfast had many fresh food selection items, very flavorful and well prepared. The hot chocolate was outstanding. The beds were comfortable. Recommendation for a special occasion dinner was “spot” on.

There was nothing we disliked. Our set of stairs were narrow and steep. We had a very small amount of luggage and were very cautious. If you have physical difficulties request a room downstairs and absolutely advise the staff.

Location fabulous for sightseeing, nothing was more than 20 minutes walk. Traditional hotel building beautifully decorated and very clean. Fabulous selection of food for breakfast. Lovely touch to have tea, coffee, cake, biscuits, and sweets available 24/7 in the dining room.

It's an old building with creaky floorboards and stairs. If you get noisy, disrespectful guests coming and going in and out of each others rooms early in the morning like we did for some of our stay, you will get disturbed. The dining room was quite small and the big group monopolised the space in the room, the host kept the food well stocked and there was more than enough to go round. Any negatives are purely down to the guests behaviour rather than the hotel itself but could affect your stay.

The place is in a great location, very close to the city centre and around 15 minutes away from the bus and railway station. The hotel is in the old beautiful house, the room we stayed in is tiny, but very cosy - and it is perfect for one or two nights. The bed is nice. The bathroom is clean, shampoo and the body location were provided. We did not have breakfast included but hot water, tea and coffee were available 24/7. You can leave your bags the reception, there are umbrellas in case it is rainy. The checkout is at 11, note that the check in is before 20.30. There is a minibar - water and beer - in the room but the prices are high.

This small quiet hotel is in a fabulous location run by an extremely dedicated staff.It is serene and traditional in decor The facilities like toiletries etc are high quality. I had a 6am departure, taxi was ordered and a packed breakfast was full of healthy fruit and goodies Decor needs a bit of sprucing up but clean good quality bedding and endless coffee on tap from a machine,through the day, and night if you wish. Recommend this for people who want a quiet retreat with many venues on the doorstep, like Michael Angelos marble statue in a church 20 metres away and a 7 minute walk to the market with a host of things The boat trips are 4minutes away. Great.

Nice hotel in excellent location just in the center of Brugge. There is no parking at the hotel, but 100 m to the closest underground parking area. Rich and nice breakfast with wide variety of tasty cheeses in a specially decorated room. During your stay there is unlimited access to coffee/tea machines and biscuits. All the local restaurants are in easy reach.

The stairs to the upper rooms were unstable and creaked strangely, difficult to pass with a large suitcase or bag. the ventilation in the room was not sufficient, but this is understandable considering the age of the building. Possible to open the window.

The breakfast and hotel service were exceptionally good. At breakfast nothing was left to be desired and the lady of the house kept replenishing individual components (bread, rolls, pastries, sausage, cheese). We particularly liked the friendly service. The cozy area of the inner courtyard was an excellent place to retreat between walks through the hustle and bustle of the city. We enjoyed it.

Our tour group had several rooms, including a room in the entrance area facing the street. This was a bit disadvantageous as the vehicles on the cobblestones were very loud.

This hotel definitely offers great service for the price you pay. Central location, quick check-in and check-out. Everything was smooth and contributed to my great experience in Bruges. One advice though - come during the week if you can. I managed to be there on Friday, and the city was not so crowded like on Saturday when many people arrived to spend the weekend in Bruges.

My room was on the ground floor with windows to the street, so there was some noise during the night from time to time, from the cars, etc. Although I slept relatively fine, I think if you happen to have any other room, that would definitely be better. This is a minor thing, overall experience was great.

Beautiful big rooms, the bed was very comfortable and the blockout curtains were great! The breakfast was exceptional, lots of variety and it was fresh! The bathroom was very big, we had a slight hot water issue in our room but friends in other rooms had no issues. Everything was within walking distance. Chantal was very gracious and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staying in a beautiful old building with modern comforts is a treat!

The wifi in our room was very bad but in the communal areas and the rooms in the main part of the establishment it was fine. The stairs... Although the booking does advise you that there is no elavator - be warned, if you have a fear of heights you should request a ground floor room. We are fit and it was still a challenge with a suitcase.

This very traditional and welcoming hotel is a walkable 10-15 minutes from the station and only a few minutes more to the belltower and main square. It is close to a busy shopping street but we did not hear any noise at night. Our room, superior double (106), was large with tv, tea and coffee things, a mini bar with small beers, water or coke all 3 Euro. Plenty of room for a table three chairs, a sofa and a huge very comfortable bed. At check in you choose a time for breakfast and come down to a reserved table laid with large jugs of water and fresh orange juice then help yourself to a really nice selection of hot food, cereals, pastries, cheese, cold meats, salad and fresh bread, The coffee machine is free to use 24 hours and makes an excellent hot chocolate to drink in the courtyard garden or back in the room. Every effort is made here to ensure you are comfortable and enjoy your stay, highly recommended.

Steps and narrow corridor may be an issue for some.
