Hotel Lido **** Mons Centre

Staff were excellent, friendly and professional, very helpful. Room was lovely and clean, plenty of space to put our motorcycling gear and there is use of a garage to keep the bikes safe. We were only on a quick stop-over and did not take breakfast, as we had a ferry to catch. The location is good, just a short walk up to the Grand Place, where we enjoyed a fine meal and drinks amongst the busy evening life. Mons has some beautiful buildings and this hotel is a good base and in an ideal location from which to enjoy the city.

Couldn't really fault anything, it met our needs perfectly.

Located just outside the main town centre so around a 10 minute walk into the town. Room was very nice and had everything we needed including good wifi and a safe. Decent breakfast.

Car park is underneath the hotel and if you have a big car, it is incredibly tight! You also have to dive down the steepest slope in the world to access it and have about 3 inches of space either side! Also, you have to check in first to find out where the car park is as there is no signage at all.

excellent breakfast, friendly (English speaking) staff, bed was comfortable although the street noise was bothersome and the window had to be open because there was no air conditioning. Large bathroom .

There was no air conditioning and the rooms on the street side had a lot of street noise. My room when I returned was on the inside and it was much better.

Hotel is nice, comfortable, clean. Bed very comfortable. Staff was polite and nice. Breakfast coffe was good. Hotel is close to Mons centre which is really nice. Good value for money!

Breakfast should have more choices. Poor selection of fruits and vegetables. Garage door and enterance very narrow, too small. Room noisy at night.

Very helpful staff and great location. Just a few minutes from the central square.

The room was at the top floor and it didn’t have an air conditioner. Despite the fact that it was September the room got so hot during the day that it was impossible to sleep in the evening. Stand alone fan didn’t help at all. The hotel has it’s garage in the underground but it is so tight that to park there is a nightmare. By the way, most of the time it is full and it is not possible to book a parking place.

The hotel was easy to find and very clean. We especially appreciated the underground garage as we had the car full of luggage and felt it was super safe. We were 10 minutes from the town square with a host of eateries. We went on to take the Calais ferry the next day which was in easy distance.

Only "complaint" is that it was a bit impersonal.

The room was clean and the breakfast was so good having. As I was there for work, the location was perfect for me as it was close to the university. There is also a supermarket very close to the hotel and some sandwiches places.

The heating system was hell. We asked to lower it but they told us that they can't control it and that they only close it after 10 pm. However, even after 10 pm the room would be extremely hot and the atmosphere was so dry which made it so difficult to have a good night sleep.

Everything about the hotel was positive...the room/bathroom itself, the peace and quiet, the quite superb breakfast, the private parking and the proximity of the centre of Mons...not forgetting the helpfulness and friendliness of the desk staff. I would have no hesitation in revisiting ...

Room - very clean, practical furniture and appliances; Breakfast - Not Applicable (it was my choice not to have it, but it was available, for a decent price); Location - Excellent (short walking distance to the city center/ Grand Place - 9 min - 700m)

I honestly didn't miss a thing. Everything was to my liking.

The staff were very great and very professional. The room sizes are a binus. very spacious.

The areas doesnt have taxi which isnt the hotel fault but very frustrating for tourist. The 4th floor is extremely hot due to the jacuzzi, ideal in winter but in May its just way too hot.
