Turnhout City Hotel

The staff were so friendly,we arrived after 9pm due to Airport departure delays The young man on reception spoke excellent English, he carried our case to the room and checked we were happy with the room. Breakfast was exceptional,everything you could want, from bacon&eggs to cereal & fruit. €12.50 each (all you can eat) The room was on the first floor- a little hot as there was no open window apart from a skylight,but the weather was wet and we didn't open it, there was air conditioning however, The bed room ( double - 2 single beds) was comfortable, and plenty of extra pillows. There was Tea & coffee facilities in the room also, a great supply of toiletries (shower gel, soap,shampoos etc) I will definitely some back and stay again, perhaps ask for a ground floor room, as they had beautiful balcony seating area's

There wasn't anything I didn't like, I booked on line and everything was as requested.

Staff were excellent, we had requested a room with air con, but no room was available, however a portable unit was supplied.

Secure parking, bit of a joke, I was travelling with a show car as we had just exibited over the weekend so security was very important, statements about video survalence is of no comfort was it only records once the deed has been done. We were advised of secure parking on another site some distance away, not really usefull as with our age we have motorbility issues. Also access bringing suitcases was difficult, no ramps

The hotel is right next to the new train station of Turnhout, which has been proven very convenient especially for those who are on a professional trip. You literally get off the train and enter the hotel room! I was given a room with a balcony. It was a nicely warm room while the temperature outside was below zero. It was very clean and the personnel was very helpful and friendly.

Inside the room I could hear a little bit of the cars passing by the street.

The hotel location is very good and the staff were really friendly and kind. The room was comfortable and there was good coffee and tea facilities, wine and water in the room as well as a fridge and safe. Very good television and desk as well.

The wifi was not good enough anywhere except for the 'lounge' area, which is just a few tables in a room. From what I'd read online, there was a bar and restaurant in the hotel, but this is not the case. It would have been nice to have drinks and snack service close at hand while working, and/or for the rooms to have good wifi. At night the room was too hot without the possibility to open a window (we already switched off the radiators), and although there is air conditioning, it was too loud to have on during the night.

A very nice room with a terrace. The breakfast was very good with a very wide range of choice. A good location with public parking at a good price just outside. There is a Japanese style restaurant next door which offers a discount to hotel users. We visited the restaurant and enjoyed the meal.

The kettle in our room did not work - but we had our own anyway.

There was only 1 small window at the ceiling that you could open, and this made it difficult to ventilate when raining. Besides that everything was perfect.

Staff very helpful. When we ended up in a cheaper room than what we booked, they compensated for it with complimentary breakfast. Can't beat the location. so handy to public transport! Bright, clean, quiet, and with character. Been there before, will book again.

Breakfast was lovely. Lots of different things to suit everyone. We didn't order breakfast previous night as we were hoping to get some food in town but we didn't find any. We came back and asked if we could have it and that was done straight away for us.

I didn't like the bed. I found it too soft for me. But my daughter and son really enjoyed their ones.

I really liked the hotel, the staff is very friendly and the hotel is very clean. I also loved the varieties of the breakfast. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Wonderful staff,I didn't get is name but this guy is really nice person! Polite and always ready to help!!! This guy is an angel 😇 He was at reception in night shift, " if you ready this comment,I want to thank you and please don't change you are ☆☆☆☆☆ person thank you for everything.

Just difficult to find a parking space.
