Super 8 by Wyndham Edmonton South

I would like to commend Linda for being friendly and professional. Aircon is nice unlike other hotels that has a limiters. Very strategic location, you have Gas station nearby, walmart and TnT asian stores, Jollibee. Almost everything for a basic needs is accessible. Friendly cleaners. The bed sheet was changed, always changed it after check out and do not recycle or reuse it, you will win the competition. No bed bugs. Clean carpet inside the room we use. Air filter is clean. Dust free on our room. Wifi speed is good enough. Budget price. Clean sink. Napkins and tissues available. Clean fridge no ice build ups. Iron is available and is working. Overall, 3 star hotel.

The rug inside the elevator. No bottled water upon checking in which should be included each day staying. No shower room nearby the pool but 1 available for use before swimming. Youtube app or channel on the TVs which most kids looking for nowadays. A switch nearby the fridge should be there. A 25 cents operated for storing things while swimming, with a key to open it later. Parking should be wider as costco parking. Change your lampshade switch, most of them are bended. The door inside the room is not latching properly. Behind the fridge needs attention.

The location was right in the middle of a lot of restaurants and stores so very convenient. The pool was a bonus and the staff was extra accommodating and very friendly. The lobby was nice and clean and the breakfast good.

We had the junior suite, the pull out couch mattress was awful. Not that pull out couch mattresses are super comfy usually but this one was just springs no cushion and especially terrible. I had to go buy an egg crate topper so my daughter could sleep. I don't think the bedding had been changed either. I did ask for New bedding and it was provided no problem. Maid service attention to detail was lacking as one day they cleaned but didn't make up the bedroom bed and another day forgot to replace coffee cups. Minor inconveniences.

I was very pleased with the breakfast. The location to a main road and a Dennys diner was excellent.

The plumbing in our room was not working properly upon arrival there was a maid and a maintenance man trying to fix the toilet in our room. They assured me that it should be fine but if not call down to the front desk . We went out and returned later in the evening and unfortunately had to have the plunger brought up. Where we had to use the plunger each and every time we used the restroom for our 3 day stay other than that everything was good .

Breakfast was amazing!! Rob and Sandy we're excellent!!! The pool, waterslide and hot tub were great, and so was our family suite. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and overall our stay was excellent! We will definitely be booking at super 8 every trip we make out to Edmonton, Thanks for everything😊

The house cleaner during the weekday didn't make our bed properly or clean the bathroom and replace our toilet paper rolls, so I asked for a roll at the front desk but overall that was pretty minor compared to what a great time my family had during our stay.

The pool and waterside were a real hit. There are many good places close by to eat, and the free breakfast was full of options. Although I posted a few didn't likes, the friendly and courteous staff helped counteract the negative.

The garbage in the neighboring gas station lot where we were told the dogs could go to run and do business. The hotel is definitely aged. The mini fridge had a constant hum. The water pressure and the spray from the shower head were weak.

I found that my credit card was hit twice with a charge I went to the desk to inquire and I was told it was the pet deposit and my room charge. I'm not happy as when I booked a pet friendly room I was not reading the fine print. But apparently it was listed in the fine print that thd pet charge was separate, I still have not found it and I looked for it. Also the room was comfortable however floors were dirty carpet had been vacuumed but the tile in the washroom and entry had not been washed there was food and things stuck to it.

Stayed at this hotel for 2N/3D in February 2023. It is centrally located in the heart of the city. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Denny’s, Jollibee, Walmart, Asian market, gas station, everything at a walkable distance. Rooms were neat and clean, beds were comfortable and washroom was maintained well. Fresh towels and toiletries were provided. The best part worth mentioning is definitely the breakfast, it was a lovely hot breakfast with a lavish spread. They live up to the Super 8 standards.

When we brought our luggage into the room, the room smoke alarm was loudly beeping every minute. The clerk moved us to a better room on the same floor. The grab-to-go breakfast was the reason we booked at the Super 8, our usual hotel was offering much less during the Pandemic. At the Super 8 we appreciated the egg and cheese english muffins, fruit, coffee, and option to choose yummy Astro yogurt instead of only the usual awful 0% fat Dannon many hotels offer.

The room was mostly clean, but we found OPEN instant ramen spice packets spread in the bedroom dresser drawer, and an empty Pepsi can on the floor next to one of the beds. Considering that due to Covid protocols the hotel staff would not come into our room during the length of the stay, you would expect a more thorough cleaning in between guest bookings.

Room condition was good. normally we stayed King bed room but this time the price gap was too high, so we decided to stayed in double queen bed, but next time even If I need to pay extra $30, I would book for king bed.

I absolutely hands down recommend this hotel for anyone’s stay! Paris helped me before I even got to the hotel. Being patient and kind as my booking took time to come in. I felt even more relief and comfort, when I got there and I was greeted by Nav & Paris. I had such a long weekend with work & life I was beyond stressed. When I walked in their smiles & warmth made my tense shoulders drop. They were a total vibe! What a great team to have working together. I loved that there was a wicked pool area. Even though I didn’t get to use it there was a ton of activity and I know I will be coming back to hit up the water slide. Then when I got to my room I couldn’t believe how amazing it was! I felt like Super 8 is looked over a lot by people. I immediately started making Snapchat’s & sending photos to my friends & family. Encouraging them all to come here and stay. I will hands down be staying here again because of all of my interactions with the staff and the hotel amenities. Did y’all know they have jacuzzi suites?! I didn’t either! Get to this location today! Even if you live in Edmonton take night off from your kids or life…. Go ahead you deserve it. I would also like to thank Maria in housekeeping for a wicked clean room. I felt so relaxed and comfortable in my room. Thank you 😊
