SureStay Hotel by Best Western Castlegar

Location is good and the room was nice and quiet as requested. Comfortable parking right outside. Quality of the breakfast was above expectations. Safeway and other grocery stores are located nearby or within a few minutes walk.

The reservation of the security deposit on our credit card still not cancelled after one week - why? I hope it will be cancelled soon because we did not damage anything. Free WiFi was not very fast and not always reliable.

Location was great, with a Safeway grocery store right opposite, the room was spacious and clean, the breakfast had a nice variety of options, the waffles being a favorite amongst most guests.

The only thing I struggled with was the sinking bed mattress. I am a firm mattress sleeper so in my case the bed wasn't the most ideal. Still comfortable just not my kinda mattress.

Really good value for what we paid, the staff were exceptionally helpful, the breakfast that was included was more than adequate and the beds and pillows were the most comfortable we’ve had in the past 2 weeks.

The lighting wasn’t good enough to read and the shower badly needed resealing around the base and the shower curtain needed washing. if these things were fixed it would be a 10.

I loved this room. It was everything I had expected and was super comfortable!! It was super clean and neat. It was well worth the money and I would definitely stay here again.

The only bad thing, and it wasn't the hotel's fault, is that the garbage was picked up in the parking lot at 7:00 am and woke me up....lol

Everything was clean I needed more coffee in the morning and they came to my door. Then upon checking out she gave me two pkg to bring home. The coffee was delicious and came from Nelson BC.

Our reg property was not living up to our standards the last time we stayed in Castlegar so it was time for a change.

Nice room and facility, nice room. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was reasonable as it included some protein items - boiled eggs, muffins, bread, could make waffles, yoghurt, cereals, coffee/tea, juice. I forgot my slippers there...I was pleased that I was able to retrieve these when I came back that way a few days later.

We didn't realize we had to climb up a set of stairs to get to our room...no elevator. We are getting a bit older, so this was somewhat challenging for us, but we managed. Because of this we probably won't stay at this hotel again.

Due to the central BC forest fires, all the hotels were fully occupied. We were glad we'd reserved in advance. Our King room was very spacious and comfortable. It was a quiet room at the back of the hotel so we slept deeply, There is a Thai restaurant attached to the hotel which was appreciated in the pouring rain.

Check-in process needs some attention. The woman doing the work was pleasant and thorough but even with a booking.com reservation it took over 40 minutes to check in as I was 4th in line and only one person working the desk. Despite having a paper copy of my reservation to hand to the staff I still had to fill in other forms restating the same information. It is not the usual Best Western approach to check-in and so time consuming. Frustrating.

Easy check in and out. Great location accessible to every need. comfortable. Clean. very quiet and a super effective and quiet air conditioner. Very friendly. exceptional value. good breakfast. I h@ve stayed here before and would not want to stay anywhere else in Castlegar.

I have no criticisms at all.

Staff were very friendly. Very good value for the price especially compared to other locations. Room was clean and bathroom was updated.

The wi-fi was not working the night we were there but we were made aware of it and the issue was being worked on.

we had a room at the back which was great for us no noise from the road the staff was amazing and helpful. each day they came by and offered to do our rooms and if we needed anything

the breakfast was a bit lacking . ran out of juice and plates and cups but in all fairness we got there late
