Exactly what we were looking for. A nice, clean, comfortable room located near downtown and the harbor for a reasonable price with parking. A few semi-related tips. Neck Point Park is about 15-20 mins away with incredible views of the ocean and potential to spot marine life (we just missed a pod of orcas). Also the Save on Food in the Nanaimo suburb was the best grocery store we visited in the island/Vancouver/Calgary if you are cooking your own meals.

It is up a hill so it is walkable to downtown and the harbor, but we elected to drive. Parking was easy for us around the downtown issue so this wasn't really an issue.

The room was very comfortable and clean, so was the bathroom. I appreciated the seat for people with disabilities in the bathtub even though I didn't need it. This doesn't go unnoticed. The Inn is a bit further from downtown Nanaimo so it's very quiet, no noise at night. The breakfast was massive: the 2 pancakes I ordered were huge, had to take one to go.

The A/C was on when I checked-in and was blowing at 63°F (17°C), which felt really cold coming from 30°C outside (even in the corridors). That wasn't necessary to put it that low. The coffee machine in the room is supposed to allow people to get hot water for tea as well... but because it's a coffee machine, there was a coffee taste in my tea and I hate coffee... Would prefer to have a kettle instead.

The room was really clean. The bed was very comfortable. Nice bathroom. The lady at the front desk who checked us in was really nice and very helpful.

There was no coffee in the rooms. Also, the coffee in the lobby was not good and there were no dairy free alternatives for creamer. I fully realize that having the expectation that hotels will accommodate people who eat a completely vegan diet is slightly unrealistic, but I figure if I point it out enough times that maybe this growing healthy lifestyle trend might get picked up in hotels too. It also would have been nice to have a continental breakfast, but even if the hotel had this I likely wouldn't have been able to eat anything anyways.

I liked that they had such clean rooms and friendly staff. the breakfast nook has amazing food and is conveniently located at the hotel. The place itself is located perfectly near downtown Nanaimo and away enough from it to not be so busy.

This location would be elevated if they added a hot tub. Other then that the gym room is a little under equipped, but its adequate.

The hotel was clean and nice enough to stay in. The The privately owned restaurant in the lobby The Breakfast Nook was fantastic! Great food, great service and very pleasant atmosphere!!

The location of the hotel did not always seem to be a safe area especially at night. Although the underground parking helped with that concern.

We were not able to enjoy the breakfast, but we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend to anyone! The hotel, parking, rooms, etc, were all new and lovely! We asked for a couple bottles of water and the kind man at the front desk provided them, which we thought was a nice touch. The secured underground parking helped make our visit to Nanaimo safe and enjoyable!

Nothing to improve upon.

Restaurant was amazing, front desk and maid staff helpful and kind. Very clean, beds are extremely comfy too!

Only “negative” feedback is the rooms are not even remotely sound proof and we had a small seating area and patio right outside our room and were disturbed by other guests loudly talking and slamming the door overnight and early morning.

Very nice having a place within the hotel to have breakfast - it happened to be the first day that they were open. The food was good, but nothing exceptional, but the staff was extremely pleasant. Right upon entry you could tell that the place was new, smelled new and very clean. Asked for extra pillows and no problem. Also, free self-serve coffee and tea in the lobby was appreciated.

No place to park when checking in. We relied on street parking for our truck, as they weren't sure that the underground parking would be tall enough.

The beds were super comfy, got a great night sleep. The room was extremely clean and bright. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great, very close to the Old City Quarter and the Gay Village for a wonderful dinner, as well as the Waterfront for a nice walk.

There was no coffee in the room, I had to get it from the lobby in the morning. The restaurant was closed until further notice. There was no sea view as mentioned on the website. The TV remote did not work, and it took two staff persons almost one hour to fix it.

The rooms were very modern and clean, with hightech lighting. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was really beautiful. The location was central to the downtown part of Nanaimo and close driving distance to the ocean as well.

I would have liked king size pillows, the pillows on the bed were very small. We also only had a half of a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom with no spares to be found. Also the mini fridge did not work.
