Victoria Inn Hotel and Convention Center Winnipeg

The children were thrilled with the pool. Very handy location to the airport. Handy to have a restaurant in house. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly - definitely a strong point for this hotel. Even the hotel manager drove us to the airport as the shuttle was already in use!

Room was on the small size - but maybe we had too many bags! There was construction outside our window but this did not get in our way at all. Room appeared to be new or recently renovated

I loved that I received a text from a staff member after getting to the room asking if everything was ok. Great communication with staff and everyone was so friendly. The kids loved the bunk beds (huge highlight for them).

Only complaint was that I booked our room next to the pool and it wasn’t at all sound proof in the room. We could hear loud screaming until 10pm which was a problem because we had little ones trying to fall asleep at 8pm. I wish we were given a heads up when I booked the room so I could have chosen a different location.

Staff were friendly, food was tasty

I was parked on the south side of hotel, my car was vandalized by my drivers side, passenger window smashed in, a briefcase and iPhone that was in my glove compartment was stolen. I’m traumatized by this, I couldn’t get hold of RCMP until next day to make a report. Now I wait to get my car assessed on Wednesday March 24, then book it in for window replacement. I would think that you would have a person as security guard especially when this is on north Winnipeg. I had two USB, appointment book, business journal, personal mail in my brief case.

I love that after we check in and get to our room, we get a text message from staff saying if I need anything don't hesitate to ask. I hate using the phone, so I love that option! I had a question about heat in the room and I sent a text to the phone number. The person answered in under a minute!

That I couldn't check in even 30 minutes before 3pm. My kids just wanted to get a heads start on swimming, but we had to wait.

I found the room was very clean. My kid enjoyed the pool and it was one of the main reasons we chose your location. We have stayed at a couple of other hotels in Winnipeg recently which we thought were fine but enjoyed our stay at the Victoria Inn most. I would say that this was because 1) you were adequately staffed 2) The facilities were clean and updated 3) The pool was nice for our kid and it was also clean 4) We sometimes have to travel for work with a truck and trailer an like that you have ample parking

Location - All attractions easily accessible from the hotel. Lots of parking. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Rooms were clean and quiet. Friendly staff.

While we had a good stay, the only thing that kept it from being exceptional was the lack of room service. To be environmentally friendly, we do not expect clean towels or bedding every day but thought there would be room service to vacuum, empty the garbage cans, clean the bathroom and make the bed.

We booked after midnight when our plane landed in Winnipeg. With all our recent flight cancellations, we were wary about booking until after our plane actually took off !! Once in Wpg, very difficult to book a room. Each attempt would say no room available, even though booking.com said they would accept after midnight bookings. Victoria Inn did, and the hotel shuttle picked us up !! Very happy with them !!

Staff is fantastic as always. We love staying at the Vic Inn. Location is perfect- Its close to just about everything! Loved being able to plug our vehicle in when it was just about -50! They even let us have a late check out so we could take our little to the pool one last time

The in room coffee is so bad. We have chalked it up to old machines since we've stayed in multiple rooms. Bring your own coffee or order in and then you'll have a fantastic stay 🤣

The pool was great! The kids loved it. The restaurant was good food. Staff was always polite and very friendly.

The bed was uncomfortable. The pillows felt over used and small. The toilet needed to be flushed twice for it to fully clean. Having small kids, the shower with no tub wasn't ideal.

The pool is excellent. My boy loves his stays always at this location.

Check in staff can be more friendly and understanding. Was told I could not check in without a credit card from one staff member only to later be checked in later by a different staff member without one. Not sure if it was my husbands white privilege that made checking in with him easier but that lady who was giving me (a clearly Indigenous person) a hard time checking in without my Caucasian looking husband should have been more understanding with me in the first place instead of judging me by my skin tone.
