Delta Hotels by Marriott Fredericton

It was well maintained and cleaned. The smart hub of being able to connect to streaming accounts was helpful with a kiddo. The food at poolside was great and the indoor and outdoor pool gave flexibility with weather. The indoor pool has a wading level which is nice for younger ones and has a pleasant temperature. The river view was nice. We stayed a few days (solo with a young kid) so really appreciated the really sweet housekeeping staff that made my kid feel like a star.

Would have liked a hot tub to the indoor pool section but I'm really grasping as the stay was really nice.

Staff were really friendly and nice. One particular server at the lounge went above and beyond. Front desk staff gave us a complimentary upgrade to our room upon check in when I asked about the view. The hotel restaurant, STMR.36 (BBQ place) is very good. Tasty food and great value. The hotel has a 24 hour pool! But no hot tub. The price was competitive considering the location. Central downtown is about 20 minutes walk which is good in the fall or summer but would be bad in the spring or winter. There is a beautiful nearby nature path that goes along the river all the way to downtown and beyond.

The windows were super dirty. We stayed in a river view room on the top (seventh) floor which would have been beautiful but the window was covered in marks, bugs, dirt etc. The room did not have a microwave. We stayed 8 nights and the restaurant in the hotel serves such huge portions, it would have been really helpful to have somewhere to reheat leftovers. Parking costs $12 per day. This adds up to a hefty bill for 8 nights. The area can be a little sketchy if you're out walking at night

The room was big, with a great work desk. The food at the restaurant was amazing, although portion sizes seemed to be a bit too much. Location is fantastic.

Nothing to complain about really. The restaurant was a bit crowded in the evenings and one night I had to wait for 30 minutes to get a table. Also the amenities at the start of my stay were limited, and I had to request additional soap, shampoo and body wash.

Breakfast wasn't part of the booking, but it was really helpful to have the on-site restaurant as well as the cafe open. It made life much easier and I wasn't sure this would be an option at Christmas and during the pandemic cycles.

There wasn't anything not to like really. I suppose a system of signing in at the pool in case you hoped to have it all to yourself, though I'm not sure this was a big issue.

The Delta Fredericton is located right by the Saint-John river. There is a nice walking trail that follows the river to the downtown area and more (you can walk all the way to the Picaroons brewery located on the North side via a walking bride). There is also a nice outdoor patio area. Rooms are modern and the beds very comfortable. The highlight is the new STMR.36 higher end BBQ restaurant that offers a great dining experience. Food was really good and quantities very generous. It is BBQ well executed and a notch above. Plus you get the great smell of smoke in the hotel lobby! We left with quite of bit of leftovers which were fortunately still very good once reheated.

The only breakfast restaurant in the hotel is the Grove Cafe, which is a Starbucks cafe. This is way insufficient for a hôtel this size.

The swimming pool was nice, hotel staff were great.

Only thing that was a slight negative was loud music at bar, and the breakfast we ended up not having as waited 20 minutes and noone took our order so we left as we were on a time crunch. But what we could see coming out looked lovely!

I was there for the NCLEX-RN exam and it was quiet enough for me to be able to study last night

No tim hortons found near . Went for a short drive and and there was construction on a few streets. I got discourage trying to find my way around and went back to the hotel.

We stayed a few years ago. The outside near the restaurant could be pressure washed. There was green algae growing up the outside of the building. Outside pool could have been a little warmer. My home pool was 70 and unheated and was so much warmer. Good food in the restaurant. Overall a great stay again. Hopefully , next time we can rent the bikes to go downtown. Maybe the River cruise.

When I got to the hotel, I asked to add my membership # to my reservation to get points and she forgot, and I lost a bunch of points because of that due to staying multiple nights. Other than that, it was good.

The whole design was truly beautiful, the best hotel in the city. Very open concept, nice comfy rooms, they bring you free bottled water upon request, located right downtown along the river, pool bar in the back seems pretty cool.

The restaurant was ok, the food could have been a little better and because of the setting of the Delta being a 4 star hotel the food was crazy expensive.
