Deerhurst Resort

Great location and beautifully designed resort. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff there was nice and kind.

Arrogant attitude of the reception staff. DIsparagement. Our room overlooked the parking lot, which was not very pleasant .We could not use almost anything from the resort - neither the pool not the children's rooms...Everything was pre-booked and with limited capacity. However, we were charged $ 25 for this, even at check-in.

The location and the resort was beautiful, the room was cozy and the beds were amazing. Pool and hot tub was very nice and there is lots of activities to do onsite. The art gallery and art around the resort was an unexpected pleasant surprise. I even saw a deer just outside my hotel room at night which was amazing. I want to give an extra shout out to the staff who were very friendly and the waiters and waitresses at the restaurants and bars were also spectacular. I want to also give out an extra, extra shout out to Marta at the restaurant located by the lobby who was a lovely waitress and very friendly to me and my friends. I would definitely who stay at the Deerhurst again.

Nothing, this resort exceeded my expectations with it’s atmosphere and staff.

The amenities were great - we frequented the indoor pool, arcade and indoor playground. The lake was nice but no directions on how to get there - a map is provided but pathways aren't defined or labeled. Lots to do with the kids even in the hotel itself. Found that they weren’t too busy which was nice as well. Beds were very comfortable.

We didn’t eat on the resort. Prices were quite expensive and limited choices for kids. We found great food in the town. They don’t clean your room at all during your stay so it’s hard to keep the place tidy. Preferably they should remove the carpets everywhere - impossible to keep clean with all water, outdoor trekking and pet friendly environment.

Our dinner meal was very good and tasty. Would have been good to have had some bread while waiting for the entree. Breakfast buffet was alright; the view of the lake from our window seat was excellent.

Serve bread before our entree. Train servers to pour the wine from the bottle to the wine glasses. The server poured the wine for the first sip tasting but put the bottle back on ice and left. We had to pour our own wine. Most guests expect the server to pour the wine when a bottle is ordered. Would be nice to have omelet made fresh at breakfast buffet.

All of the extra activities for the kids and the quick changes the activity staff make on rain days was impressive. The views are spectacular. The maple pub’s patio was nice to wind down at and the food was delicious. The staff are wonderful. The art gallery is a nice to walk through and explore.

We had to stay in the main building because of our dog. It really needs some updates and decent coffee makers or at least a place that sells it. The store sells it but does not open until 9 and it is an old machine. Checking out took a long time. We were being changed for some things that were not ours but all was resolved. I would recommend staying in the Lakeside building. It seems way nicer. I was disappointed that the night time walk was not completely lit at night. The area is beautiful. It just needs some TLC and outdoor maintenance like the interlock path (dangerous) from the main building to the beach.

It is on a beautiful, big lot with lot’s of different activities! The staff was friendly.

It look like scattered buildings without clear connection. The walk from the main building to the beach is not clear and could be made easier by a simple walkway. The resort does not have room service, which is quite “unique”…the beach and lakeside pool area was not cleaned in the morning, so there were cans and food packaging from the nights before.

Staff were very polite and helpful, specially at Eclipse restaurant Rooms were spacious and our room at the Bayshore building had a great lake view Resort's facilities were great, ranging from trails, golf courses, swimming pools, etc. Location was great

Due to Covid, there was no housekeeping which was fine. The issue was we were staying for 3 nights, and there was no garbage collection from the buildings during our stay. This resulted in garbage from the rooms to pile up in the aisle in our floor. It would have been good to have large garbage bags in each building so that guests could throw away their garbage themselves rather than piling them up inside the building.

Delicious food but slow service believe they are under staffed but in the process of hiring. Lots and lots to do. Several free activities ( included in the resort fee) to do with the family.

Beach area needed more sand . Asked fir late check out given only half an hour. Lobby restaurant extremely slow service believe they were short staffed but in the process of hiring.

Great stay as usual. The resort is very big with a ton of stuff to do. The room are very comfortable and everything was very nice. It is also very close to town in case you want to drive. I would like to do a special thanks to Mike from engineering for recovering my phone after i lost it. His prompt response and immediate action helped me get my phone back after it fell from me in an unaccessible area. I really appreciate the support of Mike and the whole staff were very helpful
