Ramada by Wyndham Thunder Bay Airlane Hotel

Relatively quiet, very close to airport, some planes can be heard and seen overhead coming into land, but not too bad though. I had a room that had an exit to the outside as well as one into the hallway, a good feature as this is a large hotel, not all rooms have outdoor exits. Glad it was also pet friendly.

Hotel is very dated, feels like late 70's early 80's, not terrible, but could use an upgrade. Parking lot could use some resurfacing and reworking, it is falling apart in places, it could also be better lit up at night, especially areas that are not near the main entrance.

It was clean and simple. Our room was right beside the bar, but we couldn't hear any noise from it at all. The parking outside the room was great. The staff were friendly and polite. The heater in the bathroom was awesome. I wish all hotels had a separate heater for the bathroom.

The rooms could use some updates. The pool was under construction, but I didn't want to use it anyway and I had the information at the time of booking.

The staff was very welcoming and comforting. Gave us a room which was better than when we visited there a week before, which made us understand that the staff matters a lot in customer experience. Except that it was a great experience.

Just the room nearby was making a lot of noise. A post on the hallway about noise at night may reduce this issue. Except that it was a great experience.

Room was good and beds were confy. Staff were extremely helpful.

If you lock the latch from inside and leave the room from another door then the key doesn’t work on either of them. But still the Manager(Tom) came in night and made sure to help as much as he can. Offered free breakfast also as a courtesy for the inconvenience.

The room was ok, the bed was comfy and the location was very convenient. There is no elevator in the building so I had to take my stuff by hand. Also, I stayed 3 days and during that time no one come to take garbage or clean the room, or change towels. I wasn't sure if the staff was supposed to do it or not while the guests are there. I didn't ask as I am not messy :)

Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Room was nice, spacious, cleaned and beds were confy. WIFI speed was good. I parked my car infront of my room.

The wash basin drainage was bit slow although I didn't inform the reception as it didn't bother me much but I guess if I would have then they would have take care of that. Should offer the breakfast as complimentary.

I liked that we could park right outside the room, with access to the parking with a “back door.” We were able to sit outside our room and watch the planes fly overhead and the dusk settle over the Sleeping Giant. Great way to end a 9 hour road trip 😊

Only one I’ve machine worked in the entire hotel. I had to walk a maze to get to it.

Good Value, stayed here because of a cancelled flight. Late check out was no problem and longer than I’m used to, which will save me money in the airport lounge! Outdated, but clean and not sketchy. Staff in the restaurant and at front desk all super friendly.

Could use a refresh, but the Airlane is a Thunder Bay heritage classic!

I stay here every time I come to TB...so everything was good.

Lots of homeless people hanging around the parking asking for money, smokes etc...

Staff was helpful, beds were comfortable and the location is good, too. Thunder Bay is small and you can get anywhere in 15 minutes or less.

The hotel is a bit old and may need renovation at some point, but it's not something that impacts your stay negatively.
