Hôtel Chéribourg

location is perfect for going skiing. easy to find, incredible staff and very lovely. we were allowed to check in 25 min before check-in, amazing customer service. the heating was easy to control and sufficient, great shower water pressure. for the price it is a great place to stay and we will stay again.

it felt a tiny bit not clean enough, it could be the colour of tiles in the bathroom and the missing shower gel containers in the shower (we don’t use those so it’s not a big deal). i was a bit surprised our room was outside the main property (with all the amenities, so if we wanted to use the pool we would need to pack and dress for it), i could have missed the info about it tho. the pool and jacuzzi were full of kids (understandable, not a con, but happens considering it’s a family friendly place), bar and sauna were closed too.

About one-quarter of the way up Mount Orford, these cabin-like rooms--ours had two floors--are located only ten minutes' drive from Magog. It's especially good for those travelling with young kids, as the main building contains the most extensive games room and play area I've ever seen in a hotel, with a wide range of ways to amuse yourself. In addition to table tennis, air hockey, mazes and climbing frames and video games, there are both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, hot tubs, pedal boats, a petting zoo, tennis courts, a nature walk, etc. They're all included.

Though the Chéribourg is grandiose, it's getting a bit old. The main building will need renovation at some point. The breakfast buffet is not particularly good value for money by comparison with the excellent breakfast restaurants like Mie and Chez Papie five minutes down the road.

The location for our mineral club trip was very good. The facility is large with everything one might require including indoor/outdoor pools, a restaurant, various styled and sizes of rooms (eg. 2 story), an impressive indoor and outdoor children's playroom center, large hall for business meetings, etc. The staff were very polite and pleasantly speak both French and English.

Everything was great - perhaps over the next few years some renovations would add to the rooms

Amazing for families with children of all ages! All the activities are great. We had a few hours to kill per day and our 2 year old stayed busy for three hours! And everything opens at 8am which is great for young kids. The room was clean though there are stains in the toilet. The receptionist were friendly and helpful.

The mattress is way too soft. The water in both pools was really murky.

It was my second stay at the Cheribourg. I love it. The staff is always amazing and helpful. The rooms and facilities are clean. The playground room/ outdoor pool/ indoor pool, sauna, outdoor playground/ pedal boat station is great. My family loves this hotel!

I have no dislikes besides maybe that i didnt notice instructions on how to start the sauna but no problem, I figured it out with the help of the staff.

Activities for kids were amazing - Kids had a blast! We loved the Easter Egg Hunt. Delicious brunch. Great location. We would come back!

Rooms located outside of the main building felt a little outdated. Had to cross outdoors to go from room to access the main hotel building (including pool). Floor around pool was slippery and kids' eyes were burning on the pool (probably too much Chlorine).

The staff were very friendly and hotel really clean.. we loved the pool and the kids club a lot spent a lot of time there.. outside pool not so much was to cold but the inside pool was heated and amazing.. definitely planning to come here our next trip thank you for hosting us.

Nothing really to dislike.

All the amenities the hotel has are great. The location is excellent.

I found insects (spiders) in my room several times ... maybe it is time to fumigate. Had to request to change my room to Front Desk floor, I was on the ground and Wifi signal was very poor.

Climatisation, matress comfort, curtains were blocking daylight a lot so we got good rest.

It was a last minute reservation. The amount of money requested was confusing. At one point, an amount was show and later, le price was higher. I was very disappointed about that issue. High amount of money for a last minute / end of evening reservation.

Great location away from the busy-ness of the city of Magog, but convenient to everything.

Lots of small groups of stairs to go back and forth to parking areas. I thought the room would be a little roomier.
