AC Hotel by Marriott Montreal Downtown

Location was great, pool view was gorgeous. Rooms are modern and spacious. Staff is extremely nice! Loved chatting with them in the hall or elevator. We didn’t use the pool but went upstairs to see it and it’s lovely! View is beautiful, definitely will need to go for a swim on our next trip.

No view from the room we stayed in, we were facing the rooms from the courtyard hotel next door. We hated the bathroom design, the washroom is built in like a closet and there is a gap for the toilet so that you can hear who is on the toilet. A friend came by and we all were afraid to use the room toilet since you can hear whoever is using it.

This is a great property. Super clean and very friendly staff.

Everything was good but small improvements could be made. only one bath robe in the room, no wine glasses, no shower cap. These are things I feel should be available without calling front desk!

This was our first time in a Mariott hotel and we loved it. The staff were very friendly, we felt safe, the room was clean, the beds and pillows were comfy, the gym was very well equiped and exceeded our expectations for a hotel gym. There was a lovely terrace on the 12th floor.

We made a reservation for the King room. But, we didn’t realise there was no actual bathroom when making our reservation. Instead there are two seperate “stalls” for the toilet and shower. We were surprised by the lack of privacy. Also, the terrace could use more patio furniture in order to take advantage of the beautiful space. All in all great hotel.

The location of this hotel is perfect for walking through all the main hot spots of Montreal (weather permitting). Our room was much bigger and much more spacious than your typical hotel which was fantastic for my family of 4 (includes a toddler and setting up a pack n' play crib). An important amenity we needed was parking. The hotel has an attached parking garage underground with 24/7 access easily through the hotel elevators for 29$ CAD/day. It was absolutely worth it to us since we drove in from NYC. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and friendly. The supermarket is right across the street and perfect for last-minute needs and groceries. Staff responded quickly whenever we called the front desk. They were friendly, kind and wrote down a list of recommendations when we asked for their input. Highly recommend staying here and would book with them again.

The lighting in the room is a bit dim despite some natural light and multiple lamps throughout the room. The air conditioner/touch panel seemed to fickle and respond a bit late - Not a deal breaker. It works and thats what matters. The room could use one more chair (2 total). A small night stand on the outside of each double bed could be useful. There is plenty room.

The non private bathrooms in the closets. Some people enjoy privacy in the washroom which isn't really possible with the way you have it set up. It's kind of a deal-breaker for me and will inhibit my next booking. This is sad because the hotel is amazing all around it would have been highly recommended if it wasn't for the bathroom issue although I will still recommend but definitely explain the bathrooms. I understand that a single traveler might be okay with that but anybody with a guest may have issues with this.

Room exceeded our expectations based on the amount we paid. Room was spacious and clean. Best room of our entire road trip. Location close to Old Montreal, Chinatown, and transit. Fitness center and swimming pool clean and secure. We didn’t have F&B during our stay. Lots of close by options outside of hotel. Parking fee was reasonable and felt safe and secure. Luggage cart right at front desk. Would stay here again.

We enjoyed the entire property. Would have been nice if fitness center had towels but bringing room towels just as easy.

This was our second time there. This time we went with our 9 and 17 year daughters. The hotel is multidimensional, meaning my wife and I could separate from the kids in the evening and enjoy a nightcap in the lounge. Or, the kids could explore the pool and facilities. This hotel is conveniently located next to a RESO( Underground city), St Catherine, and the rest of downtown and Old Montreal. Parking is also available on the premises.

The stay was wonderful, however, at the time we stayed 2 of the 3 elevators were in service. No biggie, we had to budget our time and plan accordingly.

It was nice to be able to walk to Sainte-Catherine. I loved the pool and hot tub. I really liked that there’s no carpet in the room. Great view!

The only issue I had was the parking. You should have the option to park your vehicle in the garage before checking in. I had to back out and park on the street. But then it was a one way, so I had to go around to get back to the parking. There was a lot of construction, so it must have taken me 7-8 minutes just to get back to the parking. I realized afterwards that I could have parked in the little alleyway, but it wasn’t very obvious.

Beautiful high ceiling rooms. Amazing pool, sauna and hot tub. Wonderful room service. Maybe my go to hotel in Montreal now.

I’m room fridge needs to be colder.

The hotel is located in a great location, close to all the interesting places in Montreal and conveniently close to the subway. The lobby is impressive and well designed. However the rooms are small and plain. The washroom is located where the closet is supposed to be, which is really weird and not so comfortable. The sink is in the middle of the room so there’s no way to brush your teeth or wash your hands without wakening your spouse.

Also we specifically stated in our order that we’d love to be placed in a room with a city view. It also was our anniversary.. However the hotel was full so we got a room facing another building…
