Suzhou Marriott Hotel

The staff is very good. Explains very clearly the sites we are to visit.

The breakfast is basically O.K. However, overseas customers would prefer to have choice of tea bags as well as self prepared tea with milk or cream.

There was an excellent choice for the buffet breakfast which catered for western as well as Chinese cuisine. The in room dining experience was exceptional and prompt. The staff were very professional and welcoming and made my stay memorable. When we arrived we were immediately upgraded to a better room on a higher floor. It was also my wedding anniversary and the staff arranged fruit and even a cake to help us celebrate. Service does not get better than this.

Everything was fine.

In China, it is always difficult to judge 5-star hotels as many are rather poorly maintained old facilities without customer service-oriented culture. This Marriott is a true five-star hotel, from the staff (reception, housekeeping, breakfast, pool/gym/spa), to the facilities. Two examples. One, on our second and last day our kids (8 and 5) were not in the mood for eating breakfast so we asked if it was possible to take away some pastries and yoghurts for them to eat later on. To our surprise, the staff gave us a take-away box. Two, many hotels try to save on the heating bill by keeping the swimming pool/spa/gym area heating well below minimum standards. But that was not the case at the Marriott, so we end up spending a lot of time in the pool, jacuzzi, and sauna.

The TVs are a bit too old (perhaps 10 years ++ old?) and, assuming that the costs of replacing flat-screen TVs in 2021 are not that high, they should be brought up to standard. Note that this is the only thing I have noticed that was out of sync with the rest of the property.

Stuff was very nice, room is comfortable, with all conveniences , nice bathtub .

The breakfast was good, I like the fresh celery juice ,also would be nice if there will be some options of low calorie meat , 银耳汤

The hotel facilities are excellent, providing everything you could possibly need. Staff are very friendly and extremely helpful

Amazing choices for breakfast!, All staff were very polite and welcoming. reception staff were very very polite and welcoming, room was very good, and with facilities.
