Hotel Spiwak Chipichape Cali

The location is amazing and the facilities outside of the room were amazing. The breakfast bar was good, however hot food options for vegetarians were a bit limited in my view. Staff were super friendly and for anyone with security concerns this hotel is really really stringent on security protocols. Often there is police at the front, with security guards too and the concierge staff are very vigilent. I can imagine important people stay here often. The Gym is amazing, especially for anyone that loves calisthenics.

For the 5 star experience that it claims to offer the room furniture and facilities look a little worn out. The furniture is a little old, the desk chair was on its last moments and the TV was outdated too. The hotel really needs to invest in its furniture and for the price it charges it should be in better condition. It was also noisy, drilling at early hours in the morning which was weird. Also some of the photo scenic spots it shows on the website were often closed. These tiny easy to fix details really let it down. Overall I'd still say it's a great hotel.

The hotel is modern and beautiful. While it is right next to beautiful, modern mall with nice shops and very good restaurants, the proximity of the mall is not bothersome but a big plus! The room was spacious, and we had a lovely balcony where we sat nearly every night. The views from our room on the 10th floor were spectacular - we had the city at our feet. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was nice. The seating area we had in the front was really nice and we used the little dining table every day. I really loved this hotel with its "apartment" as we had a microwave and a fridge. The bar on the ground floor served really great cocktails, and the restaurant served very good food. We used room service often and always had a great experience with food arriving quickly and hot. The juices served were fresh and truly delicious.

The plug in the bath didn't work, so taking a bath wasn't possible. Check-in took very long, about 50 minutes, to as we had to wait, and then our check-in took a while as while. Luckily, my partner speaks fluent Spanish, or we would have been lost while checking in and when ordering room service. The hot water in the shower was at best lukewarm.

The staff were super friendly. checked in online and did not bring my passport but the staff worked with me to meet this requirement. The room was big, quite and clean. The room snacks were not overpriced like vegas. Bartender very friendly and attentive. Bonus: location was excellent because the mall was next to the hotel.

I checked in online but had do the same process in person. Did not enjoyed the jacuzzi because the water kept going down the drain. Called for help to fix it, front desk said that they would send the plumber to fix it but never arrived.

The facility is modern and well kepted....maintenance staff DAILY , had a "beautifying " crew that touched up any blemishes, chip paint smudged glass, dead plants, ect...you can tell how they present themselves is very important to them, it shows and it's appreciated

I'm from America, so the communication was trick....so if I have to pick a negative concern....it would have to be an English/ bilingual speaker at the high traffic areas ie: front desk, bar, cafeteria, ect

Maintenance doesn’t seem to be keeping up with repairs. Avoid room 608 because of bathroom window not being tinted. You will give a free show to the cleaning staff. Carpet in 508 has musty smell. In our 3rd room light bulbs had to be changed, thermometer, and safe was not working. At this point one would think reception would of upgraded our room or something for all the trouble….Nothing. Where there is no empathy for guests there is less of a will to return. Maybe staff is overworked but their is a problem in the management structure. Needs to be addressed.

The staff is very professional and friendly. The hotel is connected to the Chipichape shopping mall with lots of stores for everything you could possibly need. I needed to replace some athletic clothes and buy a new day pack and I was able to get everything at the mall from the Reebok and Nike stores. The mall also has a large selection of restaurants and an Éxito supermarket. My room was very large and the bed was comfortable. The wifi worked well. There are 2 TVs in the suite (one in the living room and another in the bedroom). The suite had a refrigerator and a microwave. The breakfast is buffet style and there are lots of options (fruits, pancakes, eggs, cereal, potatoes, vegetables, juices, etc.). I enjoyed my stay!

Room was bright, airy and spacious, with a beautiful view of the mountains and the city. Breakfast was plentiful, and the variety of foods excellent. The bar section was delightful. The staff was courteous, helpful and attentive. It was a lovely stay!

I would recommend an easier way for the customer to control the air conditioning in the rooms. The room was freezing and despite the help from the front desk, the room went back to staying too cold for comfort.

Room is Ok and clean . Breakfast don't have so much choice but it's Ok

Very clean, reasonable price, location was good

The entire 7 days we stayed at the hotel we did not have hot water to shower with. We called the front desk 3 times and all 3 times they said they would send maintenance to fix the water. The problem was never fixed. Had cold showers for 7 days. They offered no solution.

Proximity to Centro Comercial Chipichape. Proximity to Parque Natural Bataclan. Not far from city center and close enough to airport. Nice exterior design. Great restaurant. Excellent amenities. Well trained and friendly staff.

Uninspired interior decoration. Sobber colours. Not so good use of spaces. Furniture with outdated design. Hard to use shower faucet
