Peaceful location, with one of the best restaurants near, also very clean, and I would say rich neighborhood. The building is gorgeous, big, antique, with a lot of charm and style. Outside garden is amazing. Just is so cozy to be here. With a previous day rain, the temperature inside was just perfect. Host - XIN is amazing, happy and helpful, as the rooms are, very clean. My only criticizm is the position of mine room, behind the laundry, althought I slept very well, no noise at all. XIN prepared me a breakfast for next morning to take out since I was geting out early! Will visit them again, for sure!!

Position of the room, yet, quite good!

This is seriously the nicest host and gorgeous B&B l have stayed in and l have been travelling for 10 months! Xin is absolutely wonderful, the little touches like welcome water & biscuits in the room, as well as a fridge, the bathroom fully stocked with toiletries for the guests, hair dryer available. It is like a home away from home, the lounge, dining room, kitchen and outside courtyard are all excemptional. Xin is a wealth of information and will help you with anything, the breakfast is outstanding juice, coffee, fruit with yohurt, pastry or cake, then eggs cooked how you like with toast & jams!! Seriously this is now my go too Everytime l am in San Jose great location with easy access to everywhere.

Xin and her staff, Una & Mireya. were so warm, friendly and helpful; couldn't have been nicer or better! Excellent value for the price and good location. Even though we are not into decor too much, the classic decoration style was very well done. Breakfast was ample and tasty. Late departure flight for us (11 PM), Xin graciously and generously allowed us to stay in the house/use the garden for no charge till we left for our flight. We most definitely would stay here again and hope to see Xin's crazy dog!

XIN is an exceptional host. We were misinformed by the shuttle company about how long it would take to get to San Jose and Xin was very gracious about having to wait for much longer than was anticipated to check us in. The house and gardens are fabulous. Comfortable AND Beautiful. The breakfast was consistently great. All in all, a fabulous experience.

The only complaint was that we were on the first floor and there was someone with heavy feet above us!

I was very pleased with the service and help from the staff. They were very kind and welcoming in general, and were very helpful with any questions I might had. I'd definitely recommend this place just because of the wonderful staff. The breakfast was great too, and the place just had an exceptional great vibe. A perfect start to my Costa Rica trip.

Nothing I didn't like. My stay was just as, if not better, than expected.

The house is very nice, and the experience reminds me of what I think a more traditional bed and breakfast would be like - there is a homey welcoming feel. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. The neighborhood is very nice with many restaurants (and the US Embassy, which is why I was there) within an easy walking distance. Will definitively stay again if I'm in the area

Custom cooked breakfast, prepared for us at the time we requested. Eggs, fruit, toast, coffee, different other drinks, all provided. We really love the room. This is our second time staying there. The location was within walking distance of where my wife was having LASIK surgery, but the variety of restaurants and other things made it a place we'll keep coming back to.

I stayed for 2 nights and it was amazing. Xin was an amazing host and did everything to make me feel welcome and comfortable. They prepared a very good breakfast in the morning and even made me a takeaway box when I had to leave early in the morning for the airport. They room was nice and comfortable and you could even use the living room or patio.

I have absolutely nothing to complain about.

Friendly staff with spacious rooms. Both rooms we stayed in were well appointed and comfortable.

My wife and I actually booked this property twice and really enjoyed it. One of the rooms we stayed in had an awkward bathroom format with only a partition for walls. Aside from the bathroom in one of the two rooms, it was excellent.

The staff and communication prior to arrival was amazing. They answered every question promptly. Great value for that price. Rooms are spacious and felt homely. 5 min walk from a plaza with food options. Good for a short stay.

Walls in the room are thin. You could hear people come and go at night time and in the morning. Bed was comfy but squeaking.
