Dionysos Central

This hotel was in a very good location, close from the beach, with own swimming pool. We especially liked the Place Royal bistro we spent time every evening, having Happy hour from 17 till 19. The red wine Velvet from Limassol was delicious! The staff from India and Ukraine were very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed sitting at the terrace and looking at the palms and the sea. We liked the size of our hotel, that is not only one building, but more, with a nice patio you can have also the outdoor breakfast.

Maybe more variety at the breakfast would be nice. Also I didn´t like the charging for beach towel use.

The staff were friendly, and helpful . During an overnight storm, my drying clothes blew off the balcony onto a nearby roof and the maintenance guy retrieved it for me no problem and with good humour. It's a short walk to bars, restaurants and the harbour. There is also a beach within a 10min walk if, like me, you prefer the sea to the pool. Have stayed here twice and would definitely stay again.

There are a lot of steps, up to the front of the hotel, and again inside before you get to the lifts. Would be a struggle for some people and with a heavy case , even for me.

Friendly and helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. Superb location, very handly for the seafront and a wide range of restuarants. Breakfast plentiful and very good. La Place Royale (onsite restaurant) is one of the best in the district. Excellent shower. Because the hotel lacks many of the bells and whistles of the bigger hotels it only boats 3 stars, but the accommodation and service is 5 star.

Everything were perfect. Very clean and well maintained. Value for Money 💰 We will visit again.... for sure 😊

This really is central in the seaside area of downtown Paphos, and is a nice hotel with a good pool and relaxation areas. The room was comfortable with good facilities, and the reception staff were pleasant and helpful. We left very early to catch a plane, so cannot comment on the breakfast.

This part of Paphos is uninspiring on the seaside resort model - which isn't the fault of the hotel, which has been there for 50 years (though it doesn't show its age).

The hotel is in a very central location close to the beach and restaurants. Very courteous service from staff throughout and very clean.

Room a/c which is quite noisy although efficient but needs to be adjusted. What is needed is a fresh updating of the room decoration and bathroom which would surely make a difference. Also Portable Ramps on the side of the steps (as there are quite a few in different areas), to make it easier for mobility issues.

Hotel was wicked, staff were lovely and dead funny. Receptionist with the dark hair was the best, called me party boy all holiday. Quite a lot of the grey hair brigade in the hotel and not a lot young people, but they weren’t the Karen types, didn’t mind you having a laugh and drink round the pool and actually wanted to have a bit of a chat.

Breakfast was pretty grim to be honest, can’t comment on the meat as I don’t eat that, but marg instead of butter was a jump scare, I thought people only ate that during the war.

PERFECT location. 2 mins walk to the seafront, then you can turn right for the pedestrian promenade to the harbour with all the shops and restaurants; or left, to the sandy swimming beaches. The hotel is perfectly placed for both, and quieter for not being on the main strip. Also it’s half the price of the hotels by the beaches. Pool area is lovely and there is a sun terrace above as well. Balcony was handy for drying swimwear.

Breakfast was disappointing. I love eggs but these seemed to have been cooked the night before and reheated. The omelets were actually crunchy. And this is at 8am! Fried eggs were tough and the yolks hard. Instead of 3 large containers for 3 types of eggs, I’d suggest including porridge and maybe mini croissants/pain au chocolate/mini bougatsa. I loved the hotel so the only other negative point worth mentioning was that the rooms have no blackout curtain. In the morning my room was very light, the sun came straight through from 7am. I needed a sleep mask over my eyes.

- The location, although slightly hidden behind buildings, was true to its name: central. - The place was relatively quiet from the outside and peaceful from the inside. - There was no need to use air conditioning, the weather (in May) was nice and only required the use of a ceiling fan once. - The restaurant was great for breakfast and the duo working there gave a personal touch. - We came after midnight and the reception was open for us! This was great! - The place has an exo friendly towel washing policy, which was nice. - The pool was cool but not cold, and although night swimming is not allowed, as a morning swim it works great! - We celebrated my fiancee's birthday there and got a nice bowel of fruit, wine and a couple of balloons on our door! - Any mulfunctioning appliances are replaced quickly! - If you don't have an adapted for the AC, they lend you one :)

- Our door was slightly askew. So a bit more noise was heard from the hall (not that there was any.) - The shower's water pressure was slightly weak, and the temperature changed suddenly mid-wash. Ouch. - Our teapot malfunctioned (but was quickly replaced!).

We really liked the accommodation, which was 2 minutes from the sea. The room was clean as well as the whole hotel. They came to clean for us every day, it smelled clean there. We thank the great receptionist Santa (baby) who advised us with everything, willingly explained and even helped to quickly arrange car rental. Santa made us remember the whole stay.

our room faced the street where there is a karaoke bar - so we heard the loud music till the 2-3 in the morning. but luckily the earplugs solved it :)
