Angelis

Room was spacious with a balcony. Spot on room service as we were given thn iron as soon as we asked for. Cleaning staff was lovely and our room was cleaned every day immaculately. Breakfast had good variety( including fresh scrambled or fried eggs everyday)and the staff in the breakfast area was polite & welcoming. The only negative of this hotel is that there is a very strong scent of uncleaned cats in the balcony and the lobby area. It’s a little put off for people who aren’t fond of cats. I will still give them five stars for their hospitality and breakfast.

The Angelis is a building that was once home to families working in the area. The hotel (38 bedrooms) has character and was a suprise considering the street environment. There is a tram stop around the corner which takes you to Charles Bridge. The Metro is a ten minute walk. The bus station is by the Metro. There are a number of restaurants in the local area. Within a stone's throw there is a supermarket. The hotel (a bed and breakfast) delivers what it says it does. There is a fridge in the rooms with soft drinks and a mini bar. There is also a safe. Many rooms also have a balcony area. There is also the facility to put the kettle on in the room. Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10:30. Breakfast was breads, cold meats, and fruit. There was also cereal, and some hot food in the way of fried eggs, and baked beans. Plenty of tea, coffee and fruit juices. The hotel reception is staffed 24/7. All of the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We would rebook at the Angelis as it is away from the city centre but in easy reach of the Lesser Town area,. Jewish Quarter, and Old Town. I can't see any reason for wanting to book anywhere else for future trips.

Just be aware that when you check out, the hotel will add the 'city tax' to your final bill along with anything you take from the mini bar. The hotel gives you a price list.

We liked EVERYTHING! Cosy, nice hotel - personal looking. Staff VERY friendly and helpful. <3 The room was spacious and the bed very good to sleep. Every place SO clean and tidy! Very good breakfast with everything in it; coffee, breads, fried eggs, juices, fresh fruit and vegetables! :) We liked the atmosphere in this hotel- there were plenty of guests and tourists - but the feeling was calm and relaxed without any fuss or busy feeling...

We have only positive to tell about our staying at Hotel Angelis. :)

The room was very big and was cleaned daily, including big bathtub. The breakfast changed a bit every day which was superb as we were there over a week. We loved especially huge tea selection with 2-3 fresh pastries every morning! Public transport is literally on the doorstep and the hotel is overall situated very well. Air conditioning worked also well when outside was scorching. The vanities were a very good quality <3. Wifi was also very good.

This is typical eastern Europe 4*, where as in the northern Europe it would be 3+ stars. There were minor broken things here and there (eg our other chair at the balcony and some hengars) and some things were quite worn out but on the other hand as everything was spotless, it didn't matter so much. The brewery does indeed smell but if you are okay to use air conditioning, the smell doesn't come inside when balcony doors are shut.

The hotel is in an excellent location 👌 Perfect location if you were intending to take public transport from the airport. Fabulous tram service to every major tourist attraction. The rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable. Staff were approachable and took care of our needs beautifully. The breakfast menu catered to all. Overall, we highly recommend Hotel Angelis.

Only recommendation would be for the shower to have a soap holder installed, otherwise perfect.

We personally liked the location, being outside of the city. The trams run into the city, the stops are just at the top of the street. The local metro (Andel) is just a short walk away, at the top of the street and to the right. There is also a market outside which was nice to see. We were happy with the friendliness of the staff. The room was of appropriate size and very clean. The bed and pillows were really comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. There was a bath too (an added bonus for me). The mini bar was well stocked, although we didn't use it. The breakfast was plentiful, with something for everyone.

The room was a little dated, although this may be a cultural feature. The TV only had one English speaking channel, for us this was ok as we don't tend to watch TV while away, for others this may not be ok. The tea and coffee making facilities were fine, but no milk if you wanted a good old fashioned English tea in your room. (not essential for most I'm sure)

Our stay at this hotel was great. Our room was quite big and comfortable, and everyone working at the hotel was friendly, polite, and helpful. The breakfast included with the price had a decent number of options to choose from, and the quality was also really good. We faced a minor issue with the A/C remote during our stay, but it was fixed when we asked. Reaching the hotel was also quite easy by public transport, as there is a tram stop very close to the hotel, connecting guests easily to the city center.

The location could be considered a bit far from the city center (10-15 minutes by tram), which was not a problem for us, but could be a dealbreaker for some other people. Everything else is perfect.

It was a spontaneous decision to go to Prague for two nights, so I really wanted a place that was not too far from the main action but was not in a busy location and noisy. We arrived and were greeted by a very friendly staff member who gave us some tips on where to go while we waited to check in. The hotel is really nice. Our room was very comfortable, very quiet and very clean. Highly recommend staying at Angelis.

The breakfast was quite nice, although presumably due to the limited number of guests the offering was limited as well (one fried egg at a time), but it was usually rapidly restocked. Once I was brought the breakfast to my room when the hotel realised there is just not enough guest to even open the dinning room, which was quite nice. The staff was very pleasant and the room quite roomy. The location was perfect for me, but probably won't be for many other others.

Nothing major to report, there were cracks, some stains on the carpet. It took about 10 minutes every night/morning to get hot water in the pipes. The blanket was only single, despite being on a kingsize bed, which was a bit annoying. I had some online meetings and the WiFi was almost not usable (I had to turn off my camera and the video feeds of others as well to have at least somewhat usable audio.

the room comes with every comfort someone would need on holiday, i couldn't wait to come home and make me a hot cup of water -yes, water. you gotta try it, trust me. but, if it's not of your likings there are coffee and teas too! - and enjoy a nice and deserved rest after a long day visiting the city. breakfast was included in my option and i was super happy to dig in the buffet -varied, comprehensive of different kinds of breakfast -english and continental - and most importantly yummy.

the water was not really hot, i kinda freezed while taking the shower and i was super sad cause i was already enjoying a relaxing bath in my mind :((
