Cleaning and beautiful, peaceful place to have a getaway from the craziness of the city and work and take some time to relax.

Staff sometimes could be more welcoming in a few stations, such as kitchen and bar. Food (breakfast, lunch and snacks specifically) can be improved. Although I made it clear that I wasn’t interested and did not wanted to spend hours of my vacation doing business, the Concierge was insistent to get me an appointment with management to receive the presentation about the hotel membership program, and management was a little rude after my feedback.

the property was clean and well maintained. We had everything we needed, staff was awesome and helpful. It was a peaceful and relaxing stay. I definitely will be coming back in the future.

while on the beach there are vendors that harass you constantly. While I’m vacation and trying to relax on the beach it’s quite frustrating that you can’t even read a book with out being bothered. not to mention the employees that hang around and constantly try and get you to book a massage.

excellent location of the hotel and its surroundings. you have the impression of living "in the park" despite the large area, efficient transport between the room, reception, beach, swimming pool, etc.

service is embarrassingly low!!! reported requests and wishes and comments disregarded by the staff !!! the quality and choice of food is far from the level of a five-star hotel!!!

The location and the staff are awesome, the beach is amazing!

The bed is not confortable. After the third night i started to feel pain in the spine and after each night the pain got worse. I had a bad experience with the team which tried to sell me some Melia benefits.

Everything! The place is absolutely gorgeous...tastefully decorated and meticulously clean. The grounds are spacious and beautifully landscaped. The beach is a postcard shade of aquamarine and the beach is soft white powder. It is staffed by well mannered people that genuinely want to do a good job. There are lots and lots of staff all working to make the place amazing. There are plenty of food options...something for everyone. About 7 restaurants ( we stayed in the Level) . You contact your concierge to make dinner reservations. Thank you Eddy Somba for taking care of all our needs. If you need medical attention...we saw a care center on the premises. We just needed some stomach medicine which is available in the gift shops but Eddy went out of the resort and got us something in a pharmacy. The bars and restaurants are all beautiful. I recommend staying near the beach and then taking the golf cart shuttle service to the front at night for the nightly entertainment...dj and dancing. Even if you don't like dancing, you can sit in the beautiful outdoor lounge seats and drink. Housekeeping comes twice daily! They clean the room during the day while you are at the pool/beach then they tidy up again during evening while you are dining. They would turn our sheets down and leave chocolate . They also refill your mini fridge and snacks. We would definitely return.

Just a recommendation to put a cash machine near the pool area. There is one in the front near the casino but it is very far away if you stay by the beach. Note that it gives you pesos not US dollars. Bring cash to buy souvenirs from vendors at beach. Another warning...my husband and I both got diarrhea. We think it was maybe from drinking the water at the restaurants or brushing our teeth using tap water. Next time we will stick with the cartons of water in the mini fridge.

Beautiful landscape across the resort, having the concierge in the level was great, the spa is excellent, having a dehumidifier in the room is essential, lots of good activities in the wellness program, good variety in food, and liked the smoothie bar.

No scuba diving center in the entire resort, which is surprising and activities team could not recommend any diving center! would highly recommend using Scuba & Chill whom I contacted directly online to go diving. Doors in room need to be renovated, pool floor could be cleaner, not enough health vegetarian eating options. would be good to have a healthy wellness menu. also, to have more Yoga session in afternoon.

insects in the room that cause allergies ! Very poor knowledge of some employees which are rude or try to get personal advantage in money promoting extra services outside the resort .

Tayfun - Location: Just Great! We commuted from Santo Doming via Bus (DOP450 / $7.5USD) per person. Around 3-4 hours. COVID-19 preventions in place. The bus dropped off right in front of the main entrance to the property. We stayed at The Level Suites, and our check-in area was closer to the beach (Walking 15 minutes). We enjoyed the walk very much. On our way back to Santo Domingo, we took a taxi. (2 hours DOP4,500 / $80USD) - COVID-19: I firmly believe that the resort is doing everything they can to keep their guests safe and COVID-19 free. During check-in, we have made it very clear that the hotel follows every guideline as per WHO and others. All staff was wearing a mask at all times. Guests have been told to wear a mask when near hotel staff or near other guests, keeping 6ft (Mt) distance. Pools, beach, and water was no problem. I’m very thoughtful about safety measures, and I can’t express how safe I felt during my stay in Melia. Due to my work, I needed a negative Test Resort, and the hotel was able to arrange a COVID19 CPR test. The Otel Melia also offered us health insurance provided by the Dominican Republic if we get infected with COVID-19. - Food: We were impressed with the menu and how delicious the food was. Out of 10, we give 8, and the only reason would be that the staff was sometimes getting confused with the orders :) Sometimes we were getting the same dish twice. - Beach: The beach was the reason for our visit and yes, charming beach. You feel you are in the Caribbean, see. - The Level Suite and Buttler: On our first day, we met our Buttler Wensky Pierre, who introduced himself as “I will be your Best Friend during your stay.” which was exactly right. We stayed in touch via WhatsApp text. He arranged our reservations for dinner, made sure we were getting a car to the restaurants, my COVID-19 test questions, checking on us how we are doing, etc. He was really our best friend. Thank you for everything, Wensky.

easy access to the airport. the beach was lovely. everything was clean and the staff were helpful and attentive.

unable to book in to any of the other restaurants that were on offer. so very lucky that the normal buffet was actually really good food with great selection. when we finally did book in to the steak and lobster nobody could tell us where to actually go. we were sent to 3 separate places and it ended up being where everyone eats breakfast and lunch… lucky it was good food. another downside is constantly having to ring reception after the room has been made to get the water filled up. but once contacted they were quite quick.
