JW Marriott Hotel Cairo

very elegant.Room was big enough for us. bed was comfortable only the pillows were very soft. the waving pool was nice touch. the property was quiet which what we were looking for. breakfast was Excellent and lots of variety.

Bed pillows were so soft for us. not enough electric outlet for new gadgets that we had. the air condition thermostat was not working properly, doesn’t shut off when you raise the desired temperature, so either too cold and we had to turn it off completely and turn on again when it gets hot. so basically on/off thing. didn’t like that at breakfast although it was non smoking section but next to it was a smoking area where we can smell it. smoking areas should be away from the non smoking for the customers enjoyment.

All staff in all section is less than friendly One lift in operation must be 2 person at a time due covid 19 but they indicated 4 persons at a time and this is not acceptable. No restrictions in wearing mask or temperature checking. Many entrance security points staff are looking for tips in very impolite way and in bad manner.

Value of money ! If you give a tip once ! Then they would never stop knocking your door !! The water temperature was a challenge! When the mechanical eng. come to fix it , then it will be a hot water on the shower ! But after that shower , the water get back to the cold water! We may call the technician to fix it three times ! I am not sure what is the secret!

The room was wonderful and it’s view was amazing. Bed was comfy, their restaurants are welcoming and charming. Close to many malls and shops 😀 I would love to stay on it again for sure in my next visit.

I think smoking should not be allowed indoors

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay, friendly and helpful. The restaurants were excellent, gourmet food and lovely ambience. Breakfast buffet was impeccable. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the airport and the concierge arranged a tour for us to the sights. Indoor pool was lovely to use during winter months and there is a jacuzzi and steam room for adults. The spa was amazing also. The hotel is out of the city but about 30-40 min drive to the sites.

As is typical in Egypt you will find some guests smoking in the lobby. Restaurants were a bit pricey but the food met the standard.

the staff were attentive courteous, smiling and always ready to help and 14 years since my last visit to the Jw Marriott I was extremely surprised that the same staff (Yousry during breakfast) that I commended via a written commendation fo rthe exceptional service was still doing the same terrific job with a great attitude and high international standard of service. Well Done JW Marriott, you set an example for all egyptian hotels to follow

I would have appreciated some coffee pods for the nespresso machine I had to go to Carrefoure to buy them but thank you for providing it it was great to have such a machien to have freshly brewed coffee in the morning. Also the phone was not working and the shower drain needed to be cleared as water was piling up in the cubicle

One word: location! Total unbeatable location right in front of the pyramids with exceptional views from the room and restaurant. Nothing beats that honestly. Second: staff: amazing staff who made our stay personalised. They knew it was her birthday and made it a point to wish her throughout the day! Third: the restaurant: absolutely loved the 139 restaurant and food. Are there for all 3 days that we stayed.

Furnishings: a lit run down and old for the price paid Perhaps a bit far from the airport and city but this is not necessarily a bad thing.

Our stay was short so we did not have adequate time to explore the vast amenities .

Egypt has a lot of people that speak English fluently with good pronounciation . This was not represented in reception or service staff in dining room. You could help with app to assist to Navigate the facility. You could have advices us about the spa in advance to take advantage & book during our short stay . Finally it is inappropriate to charge extra for driver waiting for guests checking out . He waited from 9-930 at an added price.

Rooms are spacious with comfortable bedding. Large flat screen TV with a plethora of channels. Nespresso machine. Huge bathroom with shower and bathtub, and a bidet for the old fashioned. Terrace overlooking the golf course and lake with gorgeous views. Breakfast is fabulous. The variety is blinding and the quality and consistency are superb. Had lasagna at Cucina, the Italian restaurant. Best lasagna I've had in ages, and the portion was huge aaaaaaaand it was way cheaper than I thought it would be. Indoor pool is perfect. Large, well heated with massage jets for your back and feet. Arcades have lots of games. Your kids (or you) could spend hours and a lot of tokens in here easily. All staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

No nespresso capsules. Had to pay 25le per capsule to get them sent to the room.

It is clean and presentable. Great customer service and check in staff was very helpful and knowledgeable (esp Marina) . We had a great stay in Cairo..

Not much , only one of the working chefs did not have a good command of English and ignored my requests of omelettes and took other orders while I was still infront of him, founded to be quite offensive.
