Rivage Hôtel & Spa Annecy

It is a new property (2021). Very well equipped, designed, and finished. Great hospitable staff. Away from the noise and hustle of downtown, but also a disadvantage. Depends on your preference. Not your typical French village hotel. Loved the place! Free refillable water, amazing indoor pool, and Hugo and Justine were just great.

Parking charge. I was surprised to discover that the parking just right behind the paid hotel parking is FREE public parking! That is a disappointment. I feel a bit taken advantage of, in spite of the small cost. Breakfast is great, but not having hot fresh eggs (omelet, etc) is not what you expect from such grand and 5 star hotel. There was no option to order eggs, only take from the “not very appealing” buffet ready eggs.

Very new and stylish hotel. Lovely balcony. Well designed room apart from bathroom! Great spa and pool.

Bathroom. Absolutely no privacy as you could see everything that happened in there. Style over function! Also don’t like separate toilets with no basin as you have to touch switches and handles before washing hands…. Unhygienic!

Clean and because the hotel is only 2 years old modern working bathroom etc fittings. Friendly helpful staff. Nice balcony. They provide a handy water carry bottle which you can replenish at a water machine on any floor of the hotel. Good parking facilities. Good location opposite the lake

The hotel has no soul and the breakfast buffet is a bit canteen like. There is no proper sunbed area to relax other than some old style deckchairs to the front of the hotel. They have tried to create a pseudo beach at the front of the hotel-very tacky. They only have bath tubs in their suites all normal rooms are shower only.

The hotel is extremely comfortable and well located close to the lake, yet further away from the crowded city centre. Everything is new with high quality materials and design decor. The staff is young and dynamic, all of them very friendly and professional. All special requests were immediately handled. A big plus that children and pets are also very welcome. It’s an easy going but chic hotel with utmost comfort.

The interior pool for children is unfortunately too cold for babies and small children. It should be heated to 32-33 celsius (please check official recommendations). The edges of the children’s pool should be covered with a protector to avoid injuries.

We had two rooms next to each other (as requested) which were modern, spacious and comfortable, with large balconies.. The facilities both in the room & public areas were high quality. We loved the covered pool. The breakfast was excellent with a large choice. The staff were all courteous & helpful.

We ate from the tasty bar menu a couple of times and thought that one or two normal height tables would be good to eat at, other than only very low or very high choices available. However, this is just a matter of preference on our part.

Very efficient check in and out process, thanks for the complimentary water bottle. The breakfast staff were very polite and friendly. A great selection of hot and cold food. A very well stocked bar. Very comfortable beds and bed linen

We booked car parking spaces but not clear on what to do as we drove up to the barrier on arrival ?. Had to get out of the car and push the button and speak to someone, same on leaving. Clearer instructions on booking would be useful. Milk in our room for coffee, I went to the bar and asked and they kindly gave me a jug of milk but some in the room would be expected by your British guests.

The physical facilities were generally excellent with a couple minor exceptions noted below. Breakfast was good, but not exceptional. View and location were excellent.

The bathroom could have used a little bit of maintenance, including refurbishment or replacement of the rain shower showerhead, replacement of the sink drain cover which was cracked, and some attention to developing stains in the shower. We wish the room had been a little bit bigger. Nevertheless, these were relatively minor detractions.

Lovely and modern room, spotless and spacious with a huge shower. Balcony with a great view. Location superb right in front of the lake and walking distance to the centre. Spa facilities were wonderful and also very clean. Breakfast had a wide selection. Employees very polite and helpful.

The a/c is not controlled from the room so at times we couldn’t lower the temperature, however front office assisted immediately

Great modern hotel well located on the Lake Annecy. I wished I could have stayed longer to use all the facilities. My husband managed to use the spa and other than being very busy with children, he says it was a lovely facility. Perhaps they could consider adult and children time slots to accommodate restfulness vs activity. Lovely large well thought out bedroom. Enjoyed the bar service and the offering of a more snacky dinner menu in the bar.

Thé property has a beautiful location against the Annecy lake, clean rooms, nice lobby and beautiful outside seating area near the restaurant. Double family suites with a balcony are amazing. Excellent spa center with a pool and large accessible underground parking area. Staff is very effective and with willingness to help in everything. « Le Ricochet » restaurant and bar are well managed with gourmet menu and delicious dishes.

There was some problem with outflow of water on the way to the pool, so that we had to wet our feet in stagnant water.
