Hotel Select

I loved staying here. I booked it because it was the cheapest available room along that bit of the coast, so I had minimal expectations. What I found was a nice, basic, but very clean and comfortable hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. It is on the corner of the small square in Beaulieu on which there is a daily fruit market, and on which there are three very nice cafes. I spent most of my time there having breakfast and dinner on the square. After 3 nights I already knew many of the staff and locals. Despite being on the Cote d'Azure, it felt like I was staying in a small French village. There were more locals than tourists, the food and prices were excellent, and all of this is outside the door of the Select. The hotel is 3-4 mins walk from the train station, and the train can take you to Nice in 5 minutes or so, or up the coast towards Monaco in minutes. So, you get a nice, friendly, very inexpensive hotel on a truly lovely French town square, very few tourists, very calm and authentic, but you're 10-15 mins from all the beaches and touristy places along the Riviera. My room was small, simple, but comfortable and clean. If, like me, you spend your time there on beaches or exploring towns like Eze, then all you need is a comfortable and cool place to sleep and shower. For that, the Select is absolutely perfect. For the price, and for the location, it is exceptional value for money. They offer breakfast as an extra, which I didn't try as there are three cafes and a very good boulangerie right outside (yum!).

A simple, charming place in a great location with lovely views, and with very friendly staff and a perfectly fine breakfast! Also, very clean.

We could not believe this hotel had a 2 star rating it deserved much more. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and the interior was extremely well presented. The room was simple but perfect for our family of 4 (2 young children). The hotel is on the main square of the village, with multiple good restaurants extremly close by. The train station was also only a couple of minutes walk. We would stay here again in a heartbeat

There is no parking with the hotel, however we managed to get street parking close to the hotel at a reasonable price.

This is a wonderful family run hotel in a lovely location in the corner of a pretty square in a classic French seaside town. The owners are delightful, welcoming, kind and helpful, with ready smiles and bon mots. I felt as if I was back in a glorious corner of forgotten France. The pretty rooms are over three floors - the décor looks clean and fresh and the bathrooms look recently renovated. There's a small breakfast area and the breakfast looked plentiful. I didn't eat due to gluten issues, but they let me have some milk for my own GF cereal. This is the sort of unpretentious French hotel that makes your heart sing - all the more amazing being so near the dark star of Monaco. The square is classic France, there was a small fruit and veg market and it is bordered by various cafes, with shops (of varying pretentiousness!) and a supermarché all in easy reach. I stayed one night, I wished I could have stayed a week. Bravo.

Nothing could have been better

Absolutely loved my 2 stays at Hotel Select which is perfectly located alongside the village square, a few minutes walk from the rail station. There are numerous cafes and restaurants nearby, plus supermarkets and the most amazing boulangarie further along the street. The daily fruit and vege market in the square was a highlight as l bought fresh fruit for my breakfast each morning. I had 2 lovely rooms (number 15 was best, on the corner with 2 sets of windows) and although the hotel is on a busy street, the double glazing meant l slept very well. A real bonus to have the little fridge for cold drinks.

The bathroom is small, but as a solo traveller that didn't bother me. A couple might find it toc compact though. Don't be deterred by the spiral staircase as it's quite easy, even for an older guest and it's extremely helpful to have the tiny elevator for your luggage.

The hotel is in a perfect location, right on the town square, on which there is a daily market, and a large market on Sundays. The train station is less than a five minute walk away. There are restaurants close by. The town is a perfect location for trips to Nice and Monaco, and the walk around Cap Farrat is beautiful. The hotel is somewhat small, but it is clean, tidy and bright. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a breakfast bar (room) available which services a variety of breakfast options. In general it is a great little hotel which offers real value for money.

No real complaints. My own room was small but adequate. There are three floors and the lift (elevator) is small with room for only one person. But when balanced with the positives, these are two minor points.

This was one of the nicest little hotels I've stayed in - bed was comfortable, staff were wonderful (its a family owned place) and the location was perfect, steps from the bus and train that takes you all over the Cote d'Azur. Air conditioning as it was very warm. A market on Saturday just outside. The loveliest beaches too. There are a variety of cafes for a morning coffee and a bakery with lovely croissants and sandwiches steps away, also a supermarket. I can't rave about this hotel enough - I'll definitely be back soon! Merci Joëlle et l'équipe!

really beautiful rooms, lovely vibe, lovely staff very clean, position was fantastic for traveling. near to all transport and amenities and the beach

after day one no cups and coffee were left after being cleaned .. very very noisy Friday, Saturday evening, as it was across the road from a bar playing live music, we went for a relaxing 50th birthday.. all rooms are on the front…we had a family next door with two rooms, two children, who were constantly moving from room to room with the door slamming each time.. it wasn’t a chilled time for us …. we stayed in March,thought it would be quiet, first night perfect, then the weekend kicked in. i would stay early part of the week there again, not the weekend

The location is fantastic. So easy to get the train, walk down to the beach etc. And lovely being in the hustle and bustle of the square. The room was fairly compact but made the most of the space with adequate storage. Very comfortable beds.

Only complaint was the air conditioning. It had been brilliant on the first 2 nights but then seems to not work properly on the last night so unfortunately we had quite a hot night.

This is the second stay in this hotel after eight years. The view from window is beautiful and the lady in the reception is very friendly, elegant, and helpful. The breakfast is value to money, lot of choices in comparison to typical breakfast in France. The facilities in the hotel room is high quality and stylish with a good sense of fashion. If you drive a car, please contact the hotel before your trip and ask them to reserve a parking slot for you. We did not, but it should not be difficult to find one. Just like us. We paid twenty EUROs for a whole week (seven days) for parking. The lady in hotel helped us by finding a parking slot and buying parking ticket. And the location of hotel is just super, in five walking minutes, you find lot of good cafes, restaurants.... it lies in the centre of the city and it is quite during the nights. We are very satisfied with our staying. Merci :)
