Hotel de la Terrasse

Nice newly decorated apartment situated on the top floor ( lift only went up to floor below then stairs ) in a separate but adjacent part of the hotel. Only there one night but it had small kitchen with utensils, pans and cutlery to enable a comfortable stay for a few days.

No tea or coffee provided. Daughter found the sofa bed rather hard but that was a personal opinion. Was a particularly windy evening when we stayed and the wind whistled loudly along the corridor though eventually we solved the problem by blocking the gap under the door with a towel. Much of the previously free parking in the area is now pay only after 9am and free again after 7pm though you get an hour free if you register . The hotel is on the edge of this zone so it is possible with a bit of searching to find free parking not too far away and the hotel has a map detailing the zones and tariffs .

First floor suite, really comfortable bed, fabulous bathroom (spotlessly clean). Breakfast was average but buffet constantly replenished. Helpful staff at checkout - no English spoken (hurrah!).

There had been a water leak from the room above and the bedroom carpet had an unavoidable wet patch. Arrived late and was subject to an automated check in which worked well but would have been better if a member of staff had been around. No food available after 10pm but managed to get a hot drink. Looks like the owners have made a real effort to provide clean and comfortable rooms but the hotel is sadly marred by the shabby exterior and public areas.

We arrived on a cold winter's late afternoon. There was ample parking around though no hotel car park. To be fair externally it looks tired, but inside it was warm, clean, friendly and welcoming. We had booked half board and the dinner was excellent and the breakfast good. I would highly recommend this hotel and was surprised to see that the in season price was not too bad either.

The room are almost like new, cosy and clean. Right in the center of the city, in front of Casino and Cinema, 5 min walk from the beach and citxy center / main shops. Staff very friendly, you can eat at the downstairs restaurant/brasserie

Room was a bit too small with very little space where to put clothes. No cupboard, only a large drawer + 2 hangers.

Good location and friendly staff. Room very comfortable and a good size for a single.

Horrible carpet - old and stained. Hair dryer didn't work.

We booked a formula with half board and the food was really good; also the proposed menu offered a lot of options. The room was refurbished and had 2 french window doors (a lot of fresh air). The hotel is situated in the center of Berck at walking distance from the beaches.

Good arrangement for breakfast buffet. We have been using the hotel for years and love it's value for money and it's location.

I liked this hotel as is was a traditional seaside hotel and different from the chains also it had an excellent bistro
